Nothing looks hugely appealing ... will wait for more reviews. Why does everyone have to have 'dark secrets'?

Only one difference in this month's UK list.

Once again, nothing I'm particularly eager to try.  :(

i looked at the "humor" selection, but after reading the reviews decided it wasn't quite my cup of tea.

so i got the H.G. Wells, since the blurb reads more like alt history than thriller.  hope i'm right, as i'm not a big thriller/horror fan.

i had a couple of options the last couple of months, but there is nothing this month. Nada.

I don't need anymore dark secrets or depressing stuff. I still can't remember the last time or ever if we had a actual romance, a mystery. I think the very first month of this program there was a romance, a historical romance even. That was it. Also no mysteries, just depressing psycho thrillers, thrillers. Sigh. Oh and book club selections. whatever the heck that even means.

I went with the romantic comedy, since the reviews are pretty good for that one.

This seemed like a really appealing month when I first clicked the link and saw the covers - and then I dug deeper and read the descriptions for each of them, and the appeal slipped away one by one.

With that said, Room-Maid and the H.G. Wells book are both possibilities for me.

i finished the H.G. Wells book.  i liked it, but did not love it.  it was kind of nice to have a WW1 book as opposed to a WW2 book for a change.

Room-Maid and the H.G. Wells book are both possibilities for me.

Pickings were slim this month, but I went with Room-Aid. The opening lines of that grabbed me, whereas the opening lines of H.G. Wells made me realize it's not really my kind of book.

I chose A Single Swallow, the literary novel choice. I did not see this thread until today, but last month's reminded me yesterday to check on September's and I got the book last night.
