Register to IngramSpark
« on: January 11, 2021, 05:28:13 pm »
I'm signing up for IngramSpark, sorry I'm such a newbie, but I have some questions:

In the registry they ask me for information about my business, do I need to have a business to register?

It is convenient to accept the "Amazon (Kindle) Ebook Addendum"?

To confirm this I must put my digital signature (write my name in a text box), and my "title", I think it is my title within the business, but I have no business :(

You need a registered business to publish with ingramstack, otherwise you can't.

Does anyone bother to read help pages anymore?

mdk_ger - WRONG. Stop spreading bad information.

catslover: if you haven't read this yet and taken their "Academy" courses, do so now https://www.ingramspark.com/how-it-works

Where they ask for "Business or Legal Name" you enter your own legal name, whatever that is ex: "Joseph Smith" and your Legal, i.e. home address

If you don't have a business, your title is Mister or Mrs, or whatever you use formally to identify yourself.

Now go read the "How it works"

My understanding is that if you don't have a formal business structure this should be something like "owner" or "sole proprietor." It's not asking how you'd like them to refer to you but your position within the business. If it's just you, then the values I gave would be appropriate.
