New Word Game--the UNscrabble Alterran Scrabble Game...

OKAY--we tried to play Scrabble but without a board it was difficult. Despite Brew's best efforts in sending us Scrabble boards, the multi-dimensional concept was just too daunting. SO...there's a new game afoot!

Suppose I start off with a word: 'ALTERRA'. The last three letters (RRA) must appear in the next word. Suppose Brew responds with 'ARRAH!' (An expression of disgust.) He gets credit for the word, plus five bonus points because the letters appear in the same order. I might also give a couple for obscurity on that one. The next player (whoever responds first) will come up with a new word containing the letters 'RAH'. They do NOT have to be in the same order. Example: Say Winter comes back with 'HATTERAS' (from Fire-heart). She gets credit for the word, plus five for a character name, but no bonus for 'order' because the letters are not in the same order. The next player must use the letters 'RAS'--perhaps 'SALASTOR' from 'Ravenshade' would fill that one. Five extra for character name. Next word must use 'TOR' and so on.

You will receive points for obscurity and relevance in Alterra. Character and place names are allowed and get FIVE bonus points each.

Words must appear in one of the three books.

I am 'she who decides extra points for obscurity and relevance'.

The first word is 'FARAHIN'.
First player must therefore provide a word including letters 'HIN'--bonus for character/place name and for letters in same order.

Let the game begin!!  :D

Allydar: Renowned Tuathan sworsman and ancestor of Orogond. (Also a famous race-horse who always ran second to Secretariat, but that's not important right now...)

Ooh! Can we make it a requirement that we answer in verse?
Might not be easy, but it could be worse...

(ahem!)

Rama was the name Finan once bore,
He lost his Prince in a long-forgotten war.
The Moonflower took Finan from his pain,
And he met his Prince again on the heavenly plain.

(Do I get extra points for using ALL the letters?) :)

Ishtar Al-Khamal was a bad man
Imprisoned he was in Dun Arian
But value in Ishtar did Hallagond see
For though he looked like one called Azori
The savior of the city he did come to be

Good lord what have I started???

Oh, and I used EVERY letter from your name! :)

And thus ain't no fair
a master of prose our dear author be
the rest of us mere mortals
gotta struggle mightily!!

I surrender!!!!

Halrodin I'm sure would agree,
(If Gorgon hadn't sliced him from his neck to his knee)
So here's a new map and an ice cold brew,
Some boots made for walkin' and a warm cloak, too.
I'll take a fast horse and a nice hot meal,
throw in some honey and you've got yourself a DEAL!

A brew for you
a brew for me
The bird we
hope we do not see

For if we do
Its not with glee
For who should we
Expect to see?

Why it's Ikari
and his beloved Karatsu

Oh my, is that a double?

Wow! NOW we've got illustrations!
I am not worthy.
;)

Tip-the-bold has raised the standard!
A double word score (as he wittily bantered).
And to boot, we've got a raven's dark form.
I'd say that goes far beyond the norm!

(Norm? Norm? I guess he's not playing.)
