I'm trying to create a link to the German version of my book.  It's available on Amazon Germany.  Any ideas?

I need help. I just spent an hour trying to make a book link and can't do it. The little box where you put in your link keeps moving just as I near the bottom of the window. All I want to do is put my books next to each other with clickable links to all three. I'd also like them to be all the same size, something else I can't seem to do. Help, please.

This is an issue with Internet Explorer. If you have access to a different browser, like Firefox or Safari, use it instead.

I'd also like them to be all the same size, something else I can't seem to do. Help, please.

Here is the pertinent post in the tutorial:

In 1557, Nostradamus published his opus entitled Les Propheties, a collection of four-line, rhyming prophetic verses called "quatrains."  The original collection was supposed to have 1,000 quatrains, but only 942 have ever been found...until now.  Can a cynical college professor and his two rebellious teenagers find the lost quatrains of Nostradamus and use them to prevent an impending terrorist attack, and will anyone believe them?  Quatrain (c) 2010 by John Medler, is available now on the Amazon Kindle.

    It's there.

Best guess? You need to change the drop-down to Kindle Store.

New to Kindle and I've just uploaded my book of short stories, Lunch Break Thrillers.

I've tried to create a link on version 2, but it refers me to Amazon.co.uk?

I used version 1 to test this application.

Hmmm, must be doing something wrong.

In the pic below of the Link-maker 2.0, there are options to create a link for either Amazon.com, or Amazon.co.uk. You must have the wrong one chosen. Click on Amazon.com. and try again.

My book isn't showing up as a possible link.  Any ideas why not, and what to do to locate it?  It's called A Deadly Curse (by Misa Ramirez).

    Thanks!

I can see it. Try this:

    - Go to the LinkMaker page - https://www.kboards.com/link
    - Select "Kindle Store" in the pull-down menu
    - Enter "A Deadly Curse" in the search box
    - Your book should appear, ready for clicking and link-making!

I must be doing something wrong, but what? When I click on the Link Maker, I only get two parallel boxes. One is for BOOKS, the other lets me type in the title. Then it comes up with other people's books with the same or similar title but not mine. That happens for all my titles even though the books have been up on Amazon for a while and some are quite highly ranked. I've tried to copy in B00403NTKG and other relevant nos but that doesn't bring up anything at all.

    What should I do now?

There's a drop down arrow which gives you a menu of choices.  If you want a Kindle book link specifically, select that.  Then enter the book title and click 'search'.  It will return a list of books that have that title or something close.  Pick the one you want and click 'make a link'.  Then on the right side you'll see the choice to select a text link or a picture link.  Click 'select' to highlight the one you want, copy the highlighted field and paste it into your post.

Ann is correct. If you want to get the code to post a Kindle book, you must change the dropdown to KindleStore.

For instance, here is the ASIN you provided:

This thread is sticked at the top of the Writer's Caf, and has all the instructions.... The instructions apply to posting as well as to adding links in signatures.

Select the Kindle Store from the dropdown list, then put in your book's title. You'll then see your book's Kindle Store version, and the code to prepare the link.
