Where is the "link code" on the right side of the page?  What does it look like?  Is this it: The+Cheaters:+Turning+Vegas+Around

This is on the left side of the screen.  Is this it?  I also am trying to put the image of my book cover in my posts, but haven't been able to figure it out.

And I'm trying to remove my e-mail address from my profile and have had no luck with that.

To begin with, your email address is always visible to you but you have it hidden from everyone else.

The link code will be an Amazon URL with your book's ASIN in the string. Scroll down a little and look to the right.

To get the image of your book cover into your posts you must add the code to your signature in your profile. Instructions are here:

    https://www.kboards.com/index.php/topic,46766.0.html

If you'll post a link to your book I'll be happy to help you.

    Ed--

As Jeff said, your email address is part of your profile for KB purposes, but it is set to be hidden to anyone but you (and KB admin staff).

It looks like you found Link-maker and put your book title in and did a search.  So, you've gotten this far:
    https://www.kboards.com/link/index.php?SearchIndex=KindleStore&Keywords=the+cheaters%3A+turning+vegas+around&Action=Search&ItemPage=1

Below that, on the left, you should see your book cover and the words "make a link" in blue

    Click on "make a link."

Once you've clicked on "make a link," stuff will appear on the right side of the screen.

    It will say:
    Quote
    YOU CLICKED ON:

TO MAKE A TEXT LINK, select and copy/paste the following code into your forum post.

    and

TO MAKE AN IMAGE LINK, select and copy/paste the following code into your forum post.

    and more stuff below that....

Copy and paste the code in the box under "TO MAKE AN IMAGE LINK" into your forum profile signature.  Or into a forum post.

Let me know if this clarifies things...

I have followed all the instructions for the signature link that were posted on December of 2010.  The screen seems to have changed between then and now, but I think I found my way around.  However, I cannot fine the "change profile" button on the signature page. I know I found and utilized the "change profile" button on a different page before, for the personal information page and think I was able to eliminate my e-mail address.

I would like to have my book cover automatically included when I send a post.  I have been struggling with this for days.  It is quite frustrating. It's a good thing I'm a little OCD or I would have given up, which is the point I'm approaching.

    Ed,

It looks like you figured it out?  (The "Change profile" button is low on the signature page, you have to scroll down to find it.)

Not to worry...as Jeff says, all the images need be on the same row.  When adding a new image, make sure your cursor is on the same row and after the final /url] of the last image before pasting the new image.

I took the code Jeff created (thanks, Jeff!)  and redid your signature so it looks like you're good to go!  Just remember, next time, click at the end and make sure you're after all the code and on the same line before pasting.  Don't hesitate to ask for help if you need it!

I tried this and what I ended up with was the code in my post, not an image. I hit select, the control C and control V. Is there some other way to do this?

    Thanks!

    Welcome, Evelyn!

When you follow the instructions, and paste it in your post, all you will initially see is the code.  Once you click on "Post" or "Preview" below the text box, you will be able to see the image.

Let me know if this helps!

    Evelyn,

I don't see any posts where you've tried to post an image?  It's hard for me to know what you're doing wrong.  Go ahead and try to post an image here in your next post so I can see what's wrong.

I have been trying to make a link for my book, THE BOY FROM BERLIN (B009R6A26U) without success. The ASIN number is correct but my search on the link maker page results in 'nothing found'. The book is available on Amazon.com and .co.uk, in hardback, paperback and kindle, but my efforts on both sites result in failure. While I'm happy to accept that I may be doing something wrong, I was able to update six of my title links yesterday without a problem. Any ideas out there?

I just went to the link-maker, typed 'the boy from berlin' in the search field, and it came up as the first option:

That's the US link-maker. . .no idea if maybe the fact that you're in Spain is causing the problem. . . . .

Harvey is off-line this weekend but I'll alert him to your issue for when he gets back.

Thank you, Ann. I did wonder if it was my Spanish IP address that was causing the problem. However, I cleared my signature yesterday, which included this title, before updating again, that's why I'm puzzled. I'll keep an eye open for Harvey's reply.

Well, well, well, I've just typed my title into the search field and up came the book. I think my problem was that I was adding my own name as author. Thanks Ann; problem solved.
