eBook pioneer - Martin Woodhouse
« on: March 04, 2011, 10:21:00 am »
Martin Woodhouse was one of the pioneers of ebooks. He was publishing ebooks back in 1992 and distributing them on 3.5" floppy disks. His somewhat rambling website has information on the ebooks, as well as the ebook reader he proposed to build.

Mr. Woodhouse is an author of a half-dozen excellent thrillers, a half-dozen or so Avengers episodes, and co-wrote the first 26 episodes of Supercar.

His web site is at:

I just found out that Martin Woodhouse died on 15 May 2011.

    Obits/information at:

    http://www.guardian.co.uk/books/2011/jul/05/martin-woodhouse-obituary , and
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martin_Woodhouse

He was one of the little known pioneers/champions of ebooks. I corresponded with Mr. Woodhouse several times over the last 15 years, and found him to be a gracious, very intelligent fellow with a wide range of interests. I've been hoping his thriller novels would be enKindled, and hope there is still a chance of that happening.
