Why are people lending?
« on: June 13, 2011, 01:40:14 pm »
I am looking forward to borrowing some books. But lenders, are you expecting anything in return?
Because I need to get transfer funds to my CC acount with Amazon I dont have any books yet.
Hopefully it is just a kind gesture by you'll.

I think the vast majority of lenders are lending because it is a kind gesture.  I am certainly not hoping for anything from it.  Watch for free books, there are lots that are worth reading.

I lend books because it makes me happy to share good books with people, plain and simple, no strings attached.

I also have a book blog where I review a new Indie Author every week.

One day you may have a book to lend in return or want to borrow one all in kindness.

I got a book loaned to me on and the note said she just wanted to share :-) the book (Hunger Games) is good and I'll probably buy my own to be able to loan out (and read again later too) so I can return the favor :-)

I usually buy my books, but when I go on a big reading spree, it gets I try to lend where I can.  Hopefully when I'm looking for that book or two that I want to borrow it will be available!  Sometimes I prefer to borrow a book because I'm not sure I'll like it.

I have done lending/borrowing with one of my good friends. We have similar reading tastes and we both read A LOT.  So it's nice to be able to "Trade" back and forth when the books are lendable.

I haven't borrowed a book yet, but I've lent a few.  Even evil villain masterminds such as myself sometimes have benevolent moments.

In fact, I just went and posted three more books to loan....
