Book Blurbs
« on: December 30, 2011, 11:54:04 am »
I hope this is the right place for this. I was just wondering, am I the only one who when reading a book blurb on Amazon or goodreads, when I see a huge wall of text or even a really long blurb I just skip over it? I don't know why I do this, I guess I feel like I am reading a book to find out if I want to read the book! LOL I also hate and won't buy books that only have reviews on the blurb, I don't care about the reviews until I know if I want to read the book or not then I can just scroll down to read the reviews myself.

I just move on to the next book.  I hate all that review/quote/interview stuff.

I skip reviews and skim read blurbs as I don't find them that useful. I'll download a sample chapter if the book sounds promising though. If it's good, I'm sold (or rather, the book is!)
