Title: ABOUT KBoards.com
Post by: 864 on September 26, 2016, 08:07:02 pm
KBoards is a website devoted to all things Kindle. We're a small family operation, but to our delight we've also become the largest independent Kindle user site on the web.

KBoards.com (https://www.kboards.com) is a community forum for Kindle owners, with 90,000 members and over 3 million posts. The site is rated by Alexa as among the top #10,000 highest-traffic websites in the United States. Our Facebook page (http://facebook.com/kboards.com) has over 60,000 friends. And our discussion forums have recently topped 300 million pageviews.

The site includes a Kindle user forum (https://www.kboards.com), a Kindle blog (http://www.kboards.blogspot.com), and other goodies like our Top 10 page (https://www.kboards.com/top10) and our Link-Maker (https://www.kboards.com/link) tool. Our forums have boards focused on Kindle books, accessories, reviews, user tips, and other Kindle-related topics. We also regularly run exclusive contests and giveaways in cooperation with our Kindle accessory sponsors.

Beyond that, KBoards offers unique (and free) tools for authors, including our active Writer's Cafe (https://www.kboards.com/index.php/board,60.0.html), a sorted list of bestselling KBoards authors (https://kboards.com/author), a Book Bazaar (https://www.kboards.com/index.php/board,42.0.html) to promote indie books, a directory of author services (https://www.kboards.com/index.php/topic,123703.0.html) like editing and cover graphics, and a KB author books page (https://www.kboards.com/books). We also provide our authors with a book profile page (https://www.kboards.com/index.php/topic,40577.0.html) for each of their books, which displays all relevant book information - including online sample reading, customer reviews, video trailers, and more - on a single showcase page.

Hi there, any chance of pointing me in the direction of information on how to make my profile, enter a discussion, I am unused to chat rooms but have been recommended to this site and would like to be an active participant. Thank you.

Hi, Tsubo--

If you go to the "My KBoards" link in the top menu, you'll be able to modify your Profile (see the "Profile" link).

Where you'll go after that will depend on what you wish to discuss!

Why is it a user has to post something on a board before they can update their profile photo? It is an unnecessary step and leads to spam posts (like this one).

I'm in the 20 books to 50k group on facebook, which led me here. Looks like fun to me! I'm an author, and I have other faults as well.

How can I delete my account here?

Indecisive,

Members may not delete their own accounts here.  The ability of the moderating staff to do so has since been removed by the site owners, so we're no longer able to do so for you, sorry.

The site owner, VerticalScope, has instructed that members seeking account removal PM their on-site admin, vsAdmin (Philip), or to email [email protected] They apparently have a GDPR-compliant process in place for data removal, which they've said may take up to 30 days to complete.  You may PM Philip by clicking this link (https://www.kboards.com/index.php?action=pm;sa=send;u=103513).

Sorry I can't help more.  Please don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions.

I thought the hardest part of being an author was writing the story. Seems promoting it is much harder, so I joined KBoards looking for help. So far glad to be here.
