Title: Cover Reveal + Big shout out to our amazing illustrator!
Post by: AmpersandBookInteriors on September 01, 2017, 04:27:28 pm
Hey folks! I just wanted to take this moment to give my partner's illustrator, Alberto Besi, a HUGE shout out for doing an amazing job on a whole host of art for her new trilogy.

As my partner, T.A. Miles says, "It has been a joy to work with an artist of such capability and vision." He's done a fabulous job, so please...

BEHOLD UNTO YOURSELVES....

-A town map!
-Book 1 (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0755P3PLP)'s cover on the left, and the prequel cover in the ereader
-The world's logo!
-A country map developed off of our previously drawn map. Note the lovely corner ornaments!

Not only is Alberto a pleasure to work with, responsive, polite, and open to suggestion, he was incredibly intuitive to what we wanted. Results not typical, but he got so many details RIGHT on these covers without us having to ask for any of it. How does the man perceive elements in the story that we didn't ask for? I have NO idea. But he did it! And he did it wonderfully!

There are three more covers but I can't reveal them yet. Which pains me! Argh!! Oh well, I'll show them later :)

What I do love about these covers is that they're getting polarized reactions. That probably doesn't make sense but these books are horror, dark fantasy, and that's EXACTLY what they say. Diablo fans? Castlevania fans? Ravenloft fans? Vampire Hunter D fans? Dammit, this book's for you. Don't like that stuff? Then GREAT, don't worry about it. I really appreciate that, and I think they're kick-ass.

SO! BIG THANK YOU TO ALBERTO! You did a great job, good sir, and we're glad we've reserved more time in your calendar for the next trilogy!

Hey, he also has a kboards post already. Awsomes! https://www.kboards.com/index.php/topic,250549.0.html (https://www.kboards.com/index.php/topic,250549.0.html)

In love with those maps!
My husband just looked over my shoulder and said, "whoooaaaa!  Who drew that?!"
Very awesome!
