I continue to pray for all of my OYB friends.

Welcome kaotickitten!

As all of you know my home state of Alabama needs your prayers. There is so much death and devastation here from the tornadoes last week. I am thankful God showed His mercy to me and my family but thousands are hurting. Please lift them in prayer in the difficult days ahead.

My sweet little friend Kate is on a trip to Hawaii swimming with the dolphins. Please keep her and her family in your prayers.

What a blessed, wonderful Easter weekend. It continues to blow me away the price that Jesus paid so I can have eternal life. Life is tough but we press on.

Please keep my family in your prayers today.  The rehab facility notified us last week that my Mom had plateaued and that they would not be able to do any more for her.  Since her insurance only covers rehab, we had to find another place where she can live.  She is still unable to walk and her mental condition has taken a turn for the worse.  She really can't be by herself, and since we all still have to go to work, this means that we had to find her an assisted living place.  We found one that seems very nice and has been highly recommended by a friend of my sister. Today is moving day. My sister and I brought some of Mom's furniture and pictures from home to fix up her room.  I just hope that she is not too upset.  We have been telling her all along that she had to work hard and cooperate with the therapists so that she could go home and now it is not happening.  She is happy to leave the rehab facility and the new place is more homelike, but it still isn't home, and we all feel a little guilty, eventhough I truly feel that we have made the best possible choice.  Please pray that all goes as well as it can.  Thank you!

Margaret you, your Mom and sister are in my thoughts and prayers.

Geoff I am praying for your sister and your friends. Lifting all of you in prayer daily. My situation with my daughter has not changed but God continues to bless me daily. Dillan and Lexy are out for spring break next week. I am taking 3 days off and we are taking a road trip. Should be fun.

Glad you stopped by Elijah. This is a great group.

My grace is sufficient for you.

My friend Fran came through her surgery very well.  Yhey had expected to do a quadruple bypass and ended up doing a triple.  Thank you for the prayers!

Great news Margaret.

Please pray for my mom. She is 84 and if you recall she broke her hip in OCT. She now has to have surgery on her knee. It has to be cleaned out from arthritis and a tear in the ligament repaired. It is scheduled for 03/22/11. She recovered so well from the hip surgery which is a blessing!

Praying for all of my friends here. Thinking of you SJC.

Praying for all of you and your needs.

Quick update:  I had asked for prayer a particular house I had been looking at.
The house went up for auction last Monday and I was not the highest bidder.
I was a little disappointed, but I have said all along that the right place will come eventually.

I'm sorry Deb!

Such a wonderful devotion and scripture I wanted to share.

The Bible says, '...encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with everyone.' It only takes one thing to be an encourager: a willingness to '...bear the weaknesses of those without strength and not just please ourselves.' (Romans 15:1 NAS) Before deciding somebody else's problem has nothing to do with you, read this: '...If one member suffers, all the members suffer...' (1 Corinthians 12:26 NKJV) You can't sit on the sidelines while someone's hurting; tomorrow it may be you! We are told to 'Share each other's burdens...' (Galatians 6:2 NLT) When one of us is threatened we're all at risk. Our lives are woven together for a reason; each of us is a vital thread in another person's tapestry.

Please pray for the families of four officers in WV who were involved in a shoot out this morning.  One officer, 24 years old, has passed away.  Two of the others were wounded.  The fourth officer had to shoot the shooter.

Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers SJC! You will be able to move forward with your life because of God's love, mercy and grace. I know the human part of you is hurting now but there is light at the end of the tunnel. You are starting a new chapter in your life and having your OWN place is exciting! Enjoy fixing it up and making it yours!  :)

A quick praise report:

As a good Christian boy, our son Matthew Peter joined us yesterday on the Lord’s day.  He is a big guy (10 lb 2 oz, 22 inches).  Names of all our children mean “gift from God”: Bogdan, Daryna, Matthew.
What a blessing! WOW he is a big boy. May God bless him and your family. Congratulations!

I am so angry right now. Please pray for me to handle this situation appropriately. My mom informed me she played the "cancer card" for me. What happened is she was asked to substitute for someone she did not want to work for and she told them she could not because she needed to be available to sub for me while I have treatments. Problem is I have not decided when or if I will be having treatments, and she knows this. Correct me if I am wrong, but didn't she just play a card for her own benefit?  She lied. She lied a few months ago to another person with the same excuse. These are my friends and colleagues. I have to see them on a professional basis. I have quit sharing any details with her for this reason.  Errrrrrr.

After you have calmed down perhaps you should discuss it with your Mom.
