I am so happy it made it there in time  :)

I loved this book. I wish there would be more about Charlotte Collins. And I also have read the short book about her sister I think it was called Maria?

Here's my new book, should you happen to be in the market for a romance.  Set aboard a sailing ship in the 1790s, The Bayman's Bride is the tale of a formidable Spanish captain who finds himself attracted to the Englishwoman he's been sent to abduct—a woman who is his employer's wife.

The Bayman's Bride is about how Rowen Foster, forced to join her estranged husband in the jungles of Belize to produce an heir, finds an ally in her captor, Santiago. During their voyage to Central America, Rowen learns the Spaniard has been coerced into delivering her. She soon discovers that Santiago is in fact a better man than her cold, aristocratic husband, for beneath his gruff exterior lies a vulnerability that soon wins her heart.

This is a story about trust. Pitted against each other by fate, Santiago and Rowen set aside their radically different backgrounds, their suspicions, their long-held loner ways to instead put faith in their common need for companionship, for family, for love.

Your books sounds good. I just wanted to make sure is The Bayman's Bride is the first book in the seriers?

You don't change classics for the sake of new points of view in society. Period.

I agree with you 100 per cent

Anyone else finding the Christmas Advent games really tough, or is it just me?

I am having a hard time with some of them.

It doesn't do anything special, but it relies on it's girth to smash things. ;)

Thanks ;D

I like to share what I am reading. If I see someone reading a book that I am thinking of reading. I always ask if the book is good. So far I have never had a problem doing that.

Just hook it up to your PC, and drag and drop the file from My Documents to your PC's trash (then empty the trash).

If you used Adobe Digital Editions or Calibre to add them to the nook, you can also remove them via those programs.

I am always sad to see "anyone" go home.

But I don't think the situation was having any fun.
And neither were we.

Just sayin......

I agree ;D

Anne, they'd have to go into a branch and get a card.

I just got notice that my Fairfax County card has been processed and I should have it in 7-10 days. My daughter is excited. They have a bunch of the Warriors series. Little monster stole my nook and has claimed it as her own.

It sounds like someone needs there on nook ;D

I am so sorry to hear that Harvey. I will keep your sister in my prayers.

Anne, I finished this book yesterday, so wanted to let you know how I liked it.  It's a very good book, if you like historical fiction, with the emphasis being on historical.  It's all about the first world war, and very detailed about the war.  I had to go to Wikipedia and look up some details on the war, looked at the map of Germany, France, Russia and all that, so I could get a feel for what he was talking about!  That being said, war stories are not my favorite.  I actually skimmed through a lot of the pages that were so detailed about what the Germans did, the Russians did, and all that (never did like history!).  The story lines involving the main characters were what I enjoyed, and I look forward to the next book to see what happens to all the people.  The book is worth reading, it's just to me it seemed more history than fiction.  I hope you get it soon, and let us know how you like it.

Patricia: Thank you for the review. I like historical books so I think I will like the book.I will have to look up the information like you did.I still cannot wait to read it.

The Book Corner / Re: Follett's new book $19.99 for Kindle edition???

I started reading it just an hour or so ago. I've got a lot going on this weekend, so I think I'm going to have to break down and get the audiobook. At least they didn't do something stupid and make it 2 credits.

Where do you get your auto-books from

I'll give you an honest review since I'm about half way through my copy I got from the Library.  It's an excellent book.  I'm so sorry to hear it's getting all those bad reviews because of the price.  It's very good and really keeping my interest (didn't even turn on the TV last night).  I'll probably finish it over the weekend.  While I am enjoying it, I seriously doubt that I would have paid $19.99 for it.  Probably would wait for the price to drop.  I mean, come on, the new Stephen King book coming out in November isn't even that much.  (Stephen King is my fave, he's about the only one I'll pay more than $9.99 for!)

Thanks for the review. The book sounds good. I cannot wait to read it.  I hope I get my library card from the Philly library soon.
