Such a great deal @ walmart. I'm back to a Kindle partially because of this deal (well that and i spend more time outside these days, and nothing beats Kindle's display for outdoors reading). :)

Doesn't really bother me at all. I have always bought my books via my computer anyways.

Will this change how you read?

No it won't change how or what I read on at all.

I always shop for Kindle books on my computer so this change doesn't bother me. :)

Another vote for the Friendly App it works great on my iPad. :)

I have been reading Kindle books without a Kindle for quite some time now, and I think the availability of the Apps to do so on so many different platforms is great !

I have been reading the reviews in the App Store and I'm not liking what I'm reading,so I think for now I will wait a bit to upgrade.

I have the iPad 1 and always have it in a cover.

I'm thinking about it. Does anyone know how many computers the $29 upgrade can be used on?

I was wondering how long it took for everyone's library card to arrive once you sent for it?

So the $35 fee is a per year fee?

I honestly still prefer reading on my iPad and now on my Xoom.I also prefer having multiple sources to get books rather than just being limited to Amazon, but that's just me.
That being said the Kindle will always hold a very special place in my heart as it was what got me reading again and that makes it priceless.

If you are someone who does a lot of reading outdoors definitely get the Kindle, as backlit screens just do not work well out doors.

Been a long day week month decade.

Yikes !!

Can you tell me what the measurements are please?

I didn't come home with one,but I didn't plan to either. I did however go to get some hands on time with the store demo.
I luv my iPad 1 and see no worthwhile reason to buy the iPad 2, and I am a techie who always wants and gets the newest thing  so that's saying a lot.
I will continue my wait for the Playbook and continue to enjoy my iPad 1. :)

Apps still make a difference and while I would be glad to get an android, my two nieces (3 and 2) haven't found many android apps that they like.  But they are constantly on the ipad.

That's true Apps do matter and although I am sure they will Android just doesn't have as many Apps available at this point as Apple does.

I am not entirely sure it is fair to put it all the blame on iTunes,BUT that being said iTunes could use some definite improvement.

I'll be watching the announcement to see what the iPad 2 is actually going to have or not have, instead of rumors and speculation.

Not entirely sure that there will be enough additions or upgrades to make me buy a new one, but we'll see.

I am more interested in a Blackberry Playbook over another iPad at this point.

$20 Amazon Gift card for $10 through this living social link

Enjoy !

Yeah I like the curved back on my 3gs as well.

I am driving a friend to a out of town appt. that may take a couple of hours and I highly doubt wifi will be available there,so I thought I would get a movie to watch while waiting.I would download it tonight to my iPad so I have it for tomorrow.

I am thinking of renting a movie from iTunes, something I have never done before. So I was wondering if when you rent a movie vs buy it does it get automatically removed from my iPad when I have watched it? Or do I have to remove it?

I really don't want it taking up any of my memory once the rental is watched.

Here's a link for a site called iPad Case Finder

They have lots of sleeves and some cases to look at on the site, thought someone might find it helpful.

Thanks Heather and Sandra :)

Everybody has been begging me to bring my iPad to work so they could see it but I didn't want to do that until I got some type of protection for it.  Until I find the perfect case - I bought a purple (rubber) cover like the Belkin Grip Vue (but not by Belkin).  It's a great fit.  Then I got a purple neoprene sleeve similar to the Incase sleeve (but not by Incase).  The sleeve has a zippered pocket on the outside which is good.

Then, I even bought a matching purple microfiber cloth keeping in the bag to clean the screen.   ;D

I'm set for now and I love all of it.

That sounds like a cool set.
Where did you find a purple microfiber cloth ? I used to see them all over the place in colors, but now I only see the black or white/ecru cloths.
