#1, 2 and 8 are weighing on me.  As is the PagePress issue.  I was super excited about the size and page turn buttons and they aren't living up to my expectations -- it seems too small and PagePress isn't what I was hoping.  The screen doesn't seem very sensitive at the bottom either.  Maybe my hopes were too high since I have been waiting for a new Kindle for over a year now.

I've been thinking about a Voyage as an upgrade to my KK (actually I have 2 of them).   I love the KK other than when I have to use the keyboard although it isn't that often.  I have to admit my main reason for wanting a new one is because there is an Oberon cover I want.   I have so many covers for my KK that just buying another cover seems silly but then just buying a new ereader just to get a new cover isn't the best of reasons either.  :)    Having the built in light isn't a big feature for me but I still plan to look at it when I can get to Best Buy and see what I think.   For the price, I would definitely want to love it.  I didn't know about the on/off switch being on the back of the Voyage so glad I read that.   I have a new Fire HDX and am not crazy about the power and voume buttons on the back.  I haven't seen what Oberon is doing for the Voyage or the K7 but some of the other recent ones have come with magnets.

Oberon makes covers with the magnets in them?

Ann - Good to hear I'm not the only one having issues with the "buttons".  I finally turned mine off which is ironic since I waited and waited for Amazon to make another Kindle with page turning buttons.  ;)  The flush screen and clarity are probably my favorite things.  Just have to decide if the minor issues outweigh the plusses or vice versa.  First world problems, for sure!  ;)

I tried it and it is a tad slower.  Hardly noticeable.  I think I am going to order the Poetic case with the auto wake/off and see if that changes my mind.  Guess an Oberon case is out of the question with the power button on the back.  :(

I like the voyage too much and the rapid, almost instant page turns has sold me fwiw I just traded in my paperwhite 2 because I like the voyage that much. On covers I tried the orgami cover and I just did not care for it and actually waiting for a 3rd party vendor cover to be delivered today that is more like opening a book. I do not mind turning it on by a button I like being about to use both buttons or touch. However that said, its you that have to use it and my advise would be think about it a while and remember you have a full 30days to decide and if you decide the PW2 is for you , that is a actually a good thing as well. You have to like what you read on so take your time, all in all a good time to reflect on what you want on your reader...
The page turns are slower on the PW2?

Thanks for the replies.  I turned off the PagePress feature and I think I like it better without it.  I love the feel of the Voyage and the flush screen is great but I'm struggling with whether or not it is worth $80 more than the PW.  Very rarely am I indecisive but I can't make up my mind on this one.

I have had my Voyage for a week now and while I love it, there are some things that I think are going to be an issue for me.

1.  I was holding out on buying a new Kindle until Amazon brought back page turn buttons and added the front lit screen.  The Voyage has both but PagePress isn't the same as buttons.  I can't adjust how I'm sitting or laying without it turning pages.  Adjusting the sensitivity isn't going to change this.

2.  The power button on the back of the Voyage means that cover choice will be limited to covers that have the magnets for auto on/off.  I don't want to have to remove my reader from the cover everytime I go to read.

My friend got her new PW this week so I got to really look at it.  The only thing I really don't like is that the bezel around the screen is thicker.  I couldn't tell a difference in clarity in the print.  Maybe if I got it up to the two largest fonts but with regular fonts, the difference is negligible to my eye.

Hmmmm...decisions, decisions.  Are these issues bugging anyone else?

Also one more note about the Voyage design.   I highly doubt we will see Kindle smaller then the Voyage.  It is my opinion that the bezel on the Voyage may have pushed the limits as it is.  I know it felt a little small too me.

The size is the only thing that makes me want to send mine back and wait to see what Amazon does next.

I have an iPhone 5s and it fits easily in either pocket.

Thank you, Betsy and Ann.  We'll see how the new one is.  I don't care about the upgrade to a unit without special offers but thought it was a nice gesture on Amazon's part.

I can't wait to try this thing out in the dark!

Keep in mind they also all use proprietary connectors and the cables cost -gah-

And I take it back, I'm digging the buttons. The text is so clear it's actually mildly distracting.

So is it normal to be able to wiggle it back and forth?  Gah!  Now I'm worried that it's normal and I got customer service involved for nothing.

Yay, Betsy!  I would encourage everyone to check their charging portal for any looseness when it is plugged in to the usb cord.

I talked to Amazon customer service about the loose portal.  They are sending a new one but without special offers.  After talking to them, I checked the portal again and the usb cord has a lot of give but I'm second guessing whether or not it will affect charging.  I'm not sure if it's the cord or the Voyage.  When I look at the portal, it looks solid but I don't understand why the cord moves at all when plugged in.  None of my Apple products have any wiggle room.  My concern is that the movement will eventually cause the portal to disconnect inside.  I don't want to take advantage of Amazon so if the new one does the same, I will call them and see how they want to handle it.

A couple of people on the Amazon Kindle forum reported their charging ports were loose,  anyone here notice the same problem?

Mine is loose.  :(

ETA:  I can wiggle the cord while the Voyage is plugged in.

Got it and love it!  Love the page turning sensors with the haptic feedback.  As DianaGS said, it is so soft that it won't distract from the reading experience.

Fingerprint-y already.  Ugh.  Let's hope decals are made soon and that it includes a back decal for the whole back.

Oh, and I have never wanted an Oberon Designs cover but now I do.  This thing is too pretty not to have the best.  ;)

GOT IT!  I only had a little bit to play with it but it is going to take some getting used to after using the Fire for so long.  But it is pretty!  The turn page sensors are nice and the haptic feedback is really soft.

Mine is out for delivery!  I'm having it delivered to my work.  Unfortunately, I have to conduct interviews all day.  Boo!  Here's to hoping for no-shows!  ;)

Awesome!  Just didn't think UPS was open on Sunday :).  We will all be happy tomorrow.  Hopefully we will love it!

Me either.  When I check the UPS website, there is no info, just that the label has been printed.  ;)

How would it ship on a Sunday?

No clue.  I got an email stating yesterday stating it had shipped.  Checked Amazon's website and it said shipped with a tracking number.

Mine shipped yesterday but it doesn't say where it shipped from.  Where do I find that?  I will scream if it is delivered today!

Well, the Voyages are supposed to arrive on Tuesday.  Wonder if they'll ship today or Monday. :D
I keep watching it and hoping it will show as shipped but it hasn't yet.

I think this analysis and conclusion has merit.  In fact, on the page, it pretty much says that the page turn sensors will feel differently if the device is used in a cover.  I think we'll just have to wait and see.

In the mean time, I picked up an inexpensive sleeve  that I think will work well for me. I like that it has an extra pocket on both the front and back that I can slip my cell phone into. Closure is a thong that wraps around a couple of buttons. I anticipate being able to read comfortably with no cover but need something to protect the screen when it's in my purse.

I also ordered this sleeve.  Will need to get an actual case/cover for it but I won't know what kind of case to get until I can actually hold the Voyage and use it.

All of you make me feel normal!  Haha!  I just have a first gen Fire (my K2 died long ago) and will probably give it to my stepdad.  I don't like it at all but it's better than reading on my iPad (too big) or iPhone (too small).  I want to get rid of my iPad too since I hardly use it.
