Yep, that's me. Wife, publicist, mother, kitty herder, chief bottle washer, life organizer. It's a tough job, but someone has to do it. ;)

He is pretty amazing, isn't he. I don't know where he comes up with this stuff, I'm just glad he is!

Thanks Kirkus!

Cool, thanks for linking the review ScrappingForever :) I'm glad you liked it.

Oh yeah! We always like those 4 and 5 star reviews! :)

One of Mike's Twitter friends, Kirkus MacGowan, did a great review of Mike and Season on his blog. You can check it out here.

Thanks for the input everyone. Still haven't decided on which show yet. I'll do some more investigating this weekend and hopefully get it nailed down and the tickets bought. Got the feeling I shouldn't wait till the last minute on this. ;)

Okay Scarlet, I'm having an awful time deciding what show to see. Wicked, Phantom and Jersey Boys are all at the top of the list. I was leaning towards Wicked, and just when I think I've made up my mind, someone says, oh no, for your first show, you NEED to see Phantom. We've seen the movie Phantom, I'm sure that doesn't compare, but thought I'd put that out there.

So, which should we see, and does it make a difference whether it's a matinee or evening showing, price-wise or quality-wise?

Thanks!

You bet I do, Mindy! You guys have been incredible!

The only problem with that, Heather, is that I'm usually the one making the pancakes. ;)

7
Oh, I want to meet Gertie, too! :D

Not sure about the logistics, but it sounds like another DC area KB meetup opportunity - and I'll buy the alpha and beta readers dessert!  ;D

What about the wife? What do I qualify as? Alpha, Beta or pre-alpha? Do I still get dessert? :D

How would you have liked to have read it a chapter at a time, with a week or two in between chapters? No problem with staying up late, just wondering when the next chapter would be done! :D The tribulations of being an author's wife. ;)

How are you all doing? Long time no talk!

On The Water"
Chapters 40-52

1.  Has Jared changed since we saw him 20 years ago?
No, I don't think so. Just as practical and business-like.

2.  How did you feel about Claire’s visit to the hospital?
Glad to see her do it. Glad to find out how Mother Hildegard was doing.

3.  How did you feel about Jamie being a Mason?

4.  We meet another historical figure, Mayer Rothschild.  Do you like it when DG introduces us to these figures?  Would the story be as interesting without them?
It would probably be as interesting, but I do enjoy these little snippets that DG throws in there.

5.  Knowing Jamie’s susceptibility to seasickness, do you think he will overcome it after a day or two at sea as Jared assures him he will?
Um....no!

6.  What complications can you forsee for Jamie now that Fergus has eloped with Marsali?

7.  Why do you think Jamie waited so long to let Mr. Willoughby help him?

8.  What do you think of Claire’s final letter to Bree?

Stand up straight and try not to get fat.

9.  What did you think of Mr. Willoughby’s story?
Sad.

10.  Once again, Claire finds herself talking to a young girls about what to expect in a marriage.  How well do you think Claire handled Marsali’s questions?
Not very well, but then, they were interrupted.

11.  Do you think Captain Leonard was justified in taking Claire away on the Porpoise?
No, not at all! I don't care how desparate he was! Punk!

12.  Were you surprised to find John Gray aboard the Porpoise?  Do you think he recognized Claire?
No, they didn't recognize each other. Yes, it always amazes me how DG manages to bring the characters back into the story.

13.  Tompkins holds the key to what happened in Edinburgh and Arbroath.  What did you think of his story?  Do you still think there is another traitor among the smugglers?
Hmm.....;)

14.  Do you think Claire made the right decision to escape from the Porpoise?
Probably. It all gets very complicated when one lives with Jamie, doesn't it!

15.  What did you think of Claire running across the naturalist Jamie mentioned in a swamp a half a world away?
Isn't it amazing what a small world it was, even back in those times! :D

16.  What did you think of Father Fogden’s story?

17.  Do you think Father Fogden is insane, or just drunken and eccentric?  What do you think about his sheep?
A little of all 3. I think his sheep are his flock, since he has none now....then.

18.  Were you surprised when Jamie showed up on the Porpoise?
Not really - "Where you go, I will go. Where you stay, I will stay. etc., etc., etc. " :D

19.  How do you think Jamie got to be captain of the guard on Hispaniola?
You know, I've always wondered that! :D

20.  Discuss Marsali and Fergus’ wedding.

There! Finally posted something here! :D

September in Columbia sounds good at this point. And Heather, if it works, you could drive to our house and we could carpool. :)

Been a while since I posted here, and what do I find but that you've come up with a non-mac compatible Jamie software! Sigh, what's a Mac and Jamie lover to do?? ;)

Now to find the Voyager thread and actually try to answer some questions. I'm on Drums of Autumn right now, so hopefully I can remember things rightly. ;)

It was great meeting you all! I had so much fun chatting and comparing Kindles and drooling over the Oberon covers. They are lovely!

Mike and I will try to make it to the next one, too. I actually work from home, so my schedule is completely flexible. Mike's is another story, but we'll see what we can do. :)

No, any guy who proudly wears his whitey tighties on his head cannot be accused of taking himself very seriously! ;D

Yep! I love bookstores! Love the smell and feel of them, and love getting ideas for new books. I also get emails from Random house on new books, and any other place I can get ideas from! :)

Aren't you the fancy one, Betsy! :D

Warning everyone: Get ready for a cliff-hanger..already! Sheesh! This is going to kill me if I have to read a chapter and then wait who knows how long for the next chapter! It's a good thing I like him so much! ;D

And now to get back on topic a bit. ;D

Mike and I are doing a 30-day fitness challenge on our thread on the Beachbody Message Boards. It doesn't matter what you're doing, can be running, walking on a treadmill, working out to any video program, whatever. This challenge is to help you commit to consistent workouts and eating right for 30 days. We'd like to invite you to post on our thread to enjoy the encouragement and motivation you'll get from other like-minded individuals. There is going to be a point system that you'll keep track of every day, and we'll award a prize of a canister of Beachbody's Meal Replacement shake to whomever has the most points at the end of the month. We're starting on April 1st. You can see more details here: http://fitclubtoday.com/2009/03/518/

Hope you'll join us! :)

Hmmm...I think I'm gonna have to go in for plastic surgery if this keeps up!

No you won't, dear. I love you just the way you are. Besides, it would be hard to live with someone like Hrithik. I do need to breathe every once in a while. ;)

Yaay! Isn't he good! And with the help of all of your suggestions, he nailed the covers without having to spend countless hours trying to put something together! Can't wait to see how these do! :)

I hate the He-Man cover. It makes your book like like Harlequin porn. Please don't use it. :(

Those were exactly my thoughts, too! It doesn't really give the correct feel for the book, although it may bring in a whole different genre of readers! :D

I checked out the fit link he gave me.  I loved the 33 tips.  Some of them I already live by, and I copied the rest of them down.  Thanks so much.

Glad you liked them! I love them, too. I tried to do a more in depth post on each of them on my other blog, but it just got to be too much to keep up with. If I only had time to sit down and do them all at once! :D

Point taken! Again, this is as much for fun as anything else - I don't think Jan would let me use that one anyway (although if it was Hrithik Roshan she wouldn't let me use anything else)... ;D

If it were Hrithik, we'd need to have a front view, to see his gorgeous eyes, but it would still have to have some sort of quality to it that didn't immediately proclaim "BODICE RIPPER!" ;)

23
I'm reading The Ark now, too. Really enjoying it! :)

We want pictures.

Now, now. I can see that I should have been monitoring Mr. Kreelan Warrior more closely. This is getting out of hand!
