Kindle Accessories / Received My K 2 Skin Today
« on: March 04, 2009, 03:48:36 pm »
I received my Orient skin today. Just finished skinning Lady Claire and she looks lovely. I had a tough time between the little, bitty round buttons. I have 2 or 3 tiny wrinkles and they are driving me up the wall. I use my Amazon Visa card when I skin to smooth everything out but it didn't work as well as on my Klassic. I took it off 4 times. The white was so distracting to me when reading. I still use my old 35 mm camera  so I can't post photos.  :(

Kindle Accessories / Oberon Cover Mix-Up
« on: February 02, 2009, 02:25:49 pm »
I got home form work, opened my mailbox and there it is.... my Oberon Cover. My DecalGirl skin is between my storm door and front door. I am so excited, check my shipping order: 1 Dragonfly Pond Kindle Cover. I take it out and open the paper and there is a Purple Butterfly Cover. Ohhhhh I am so disappointed!! It is nice but purple is not a favorite color and it is not what I wanted.

Oh well I called Oberon and they were very nice, she checked my order and said, "Oh we made a mistake." They are mailing my DragonFly Pond tomorrow and sending me a return shipping slip. I did get a beautiful little DragonFly charm though.

I think there will be more of you getting your covers today because I know several of us ordered the same night.

Not Quite Kindle / Stem Cell Research
« on: January 23, 2009, 03:42:32 pm »
I heard on ABC nightly news they are going to do stem cell research, a clinical trial on 10 people. The cells have to be used quickly after the injury occurs.

President Obama is going to reverse President Bush's ban on stem cell research making the clinical trial all the more important. This is very exciting and interesting to me since I am a certified clinical research nurse and work on trials everyday. It could change people's life's forever if it is a successful trial.

Chobitz I immediately thought of you and of course Michael J. Fox and the late Christopher Reed who fought and and lobbied so diligently for this.

I'm sure there is more in depth info on

3. Distant Cousin by our own Al Past
4. Snow Flower and the Secret Fan by Sue Monk Kidd

6. All The Pretty Girls by J.T. Ellison
7. Memory Keepers Daughter by Kim Edwards
8. A Red Bird Christmas by Fannie Flagg
9. The House Next Door by Anne Rivers Siddons
10. The Glass Castle by Jennette Walls
11. A Mighty Heart: The Brave Life and Death of My Husband, Danny Pearl by Maianne Pearl (this is a great book, sad but a good read) Read the DTB but it is available on Kindle  :)

Let's Talk Kindle! / Sample Suggestion Anyone?
« on: December 07, 2008, 09:52:47 am »
I know some of us have many samples on our Kindles. I am interested in reading if any of you have a *sample system* that you use to keep it to a realistic number. I like organization and find my samples getting out of hand. Does anyone read a sample a day and delete if not interested? Open to suggestions  ???  ???  Anyone?
