Writers' Cafe / Smashword upload woes?
« on: May 10, 2010, 06:39:37 am »
**This message has been cross posted to another site, my apologies if you're seeing it for the second time!**

I uploaded an ebook to Smashwords six weeks ago, and opted in to everything except for Kindle. Six weeks later, I cannot find the book in any ebook store. I checked Kobo books, the Sony reader store, the iBookstore, and Barnes and Noble.

I feel like the ebook has gone into a black hole, and there is no way for me to track its status. Iíve emailed both Kobo and Sony, but they are unable to offer help and simply direct me back to Smashwords.

Has anyone here used Smashwords successfully and had his or her book appear in the other, non-Amazon stores??

Kindle Accessories / Oberon covers - Corner or Velcro style?
« on: April 16, 2010, 04:40:07 am »
Hi good morning,

I NEED an Oberon cover, was interested before but am now completely obsessed after seeing everyone's photos.

Wondering the general consensus is concerning the corner vs velcro style.

Thank you  :)

Introductions & Welcomes / Elvira (me!)
« on: April 13, 2010, 06:10:39 pm »
Hi all!
I am a not-yet-30-year old living and working in Toronto. I have recently fallen desperately in love with my new Kindle, to the extent that I have separation anxiety if she (yes, she..long story) is not with me, and I never want to read a paperback or hardcover again.
I work in the newspaper industry, and I am taking classes to become an adult educator.
