Please don't buy electronics on QVC, you can do so much better buying elsewhere.  A couple months ago they were selling Kindle 2's for a higher price than Kindle 3's.

I've been meaning to start a thread about this but haven't got around to it yet, but my 8 year old daughter picked up my K3 in its Amazon lighted case the other day, and tried to open it "backwards"...  I walked in the room and found her holding my Kindle with the back cover bent back by several inches.  A quick examination showed that the hinges were bent back a good amount, but I simply disconnected the Kindle, grabbed my needle-nose pliers and bent them back into place.  Both Kindle and case are no worse for wear...

It's also used to associate a boxed kindle with your account...  When you order the Kindle, they scan the box and read the ID off the tag, then associate that tag with your account.  So when you receive it it's registered, a personalized welcome letter is delivered to the Kindle, etc.  Pretty neat if you ask me.

This one isn't as one-sided as some I've seen, but I really don't understand why the press continues to group the Kindle and other e-readers with the Ipad.

I'm a bit late to the party but I'd go with the first one, simply because it's harder to tell the the gun isn't a revolver...  The semi-automatic pistol really doesn't go with the rest of the picture.  Small details like that tend to annoy me.
