I hope I'm wrong but I've seen at least 5 posts now about this same book, I want to be wrong but I can't help thinking that this your way of advertising your book on here as often as possible.
As you already have so many books out there, do you really need all of these questions answering on here? :)

Did you happen to notice the number of posts Becca has contributed to this board? She's been a member here since 2011. I hardly think that is what's going on here. I think she's just looking for advice from fellow writers.

I do not function well out there...among the "normal" people. Men just don't seem to get me.

Dinner conversation for me:

Him: "So what do you do?"
Me: "I'm a writer."
Him: "Cool. What do you write about?"
Me: "Ghouls. Ghouls with a little romance thrown in. Hey, are you gonna eat that?"
Him: "Ghouls...are romantic? Don't they like, eat people?"
Me: Exactly. You know, think Tokyo Ghoul."
Him: *Confused expression*
Me: "Yeah, I think I need to go now."

It's a hermit's life for me. Obviously.

*Edited because I can't spell worth AF.

Thanks Evenstar!

I love this post.  Been feeling in the dumps recently but still writing away.  I am tied down, which is a poor way to describe it, to home because of a critically sick little boy getting sicker.  He is still in school but has a modified day so I have 5 hours a day to 'work'.  If my real job calls I can go but.. self employed.

I have had some sales and slowly put out the books.  Right now I am desperately writing as many as possible so when we (me and him) go into isolation in the hospital I can automate by pre-order releasing everything I have done every 3 weeks.  I have paid attention to everything said about doing that successfully.  Here is hoping it works as I will be out of the loop for up to 8 months.

Success is what we each decide it is for ourselves.  :)
I'm so sorry to hear about your little one. Sending lots of hugs and positive vibes in your direction.

I don't know, I'm an adult and every time I see Jamie Campbell Bower the words d*mn, he's so pretty seem to escape from my lips. It's like I have no control over it.  :)

I don't often listen to music while writing...a lot of time I have a baseball or football game on, but when I do, I tend to go heavier to get the blood pumping. Metallica, Bon Jovi, Whitesnake....I really dig the hair metal bands of the 80s. Gets your juices flowing.

I'm a big fan of the hairbands. These guys are my favorite.

I'm a classic rock/British Invasion/New Wave guy, but I also have a special playlist that I listen to sometimes when I want to write. Lots of recent obscure (and not so) indie rock, some classics, some classical, some soundtrack, some Celtic and, thanks to Shei Darksbane, a good chunk of Lindsey Stirling. :D

I use specific tunes to set the mood for some scenes too. In the next Monkey Queen book, I used "Telecommunication" by A Flock Of Seagulls, "Stand And Deliver" by Adam and the Ants, "Mandlebrot Set" by Jonathan Coulton, and John Williams' Jurassic Park music. And in the current secret project, the big fight scene near the end is apparently inspired by..."Pressure" by Billy Joel. No, I have no idea how that happened either. :o

I love, love, love British Invasion music, but it tends to cause extreme chair dancing and I accomplish nothing.

If I'm working I'm listening to The Avett Brothers.

Lots of solid business advice already posted but my addition is for you to stay classy, especially on the internet. Respect your fellow writers and their individual struggles, and remember that the internet never forgets. Treat ad hom like poison and don't touch it. If you're emotional don't post, don't tweet, take a walk. Listen, analyze, and listen some more. People respect the high road ... don't get caught up.

This +1

I drank and had sex in a field in high school.

As did I, Amanda! In the back of a Ford Pickup. Gotta love a good Friday night field party! :)
