Wow...am I the only ENFP here?  Glancing through everyone's posts I didn't see any!

Good morning!

I'm in Tampa with my daughters (the play, Spring Awakening, we went to see last night was amazing!) and we are headed back to Jacksonville today.  Supposed to be sunny and up to 72 today.

Hope everyone is feeling better and has a great weekend!

Has anyone seen the play Spring Awakening and been in the seats on stage?  My daughters and I are going to the show tomorrow night and sitting on stage.  I was wondering what it was like and what is best to wear.  They say no bright colors...so maybe jeans and a black shirt?

Wow...when I asked the question I never expected to start a debate! Sorry!!

Just an update...my daughter, after thoroughly cleaning her room (which was part of the deal), got her belly button ring today.

Thanks for the words of support...I know she appreciated being allowed to express herself in the way she wanted to.

Sunny and 39 in Jacksonville...but going up to 70.

I've been missing Kindleboard time during the holidays!  I've tried to keep up...    ;)   I'll do better, I promise!

I've also been missing my Kindle because my daughter, who is home from college, has it in her hands every time I turn around!  She's been reading the Southern Vampire Mysteries on it.  I even bought her a copy of the next one she was about to start, but she says it's just not the same as reading on the Kindle.  How can I argue?!

Good news...she found one yesterday and one-clicked (on my account, but she is gathering all her Christmas money to pay me back) and it will be shipped today.

Brigit and I are in!  I love the Outlander series!!!  I've read it several times, but am looking forward to talking about it with everyone.  I'm excited to start reading it again.   :D

There are a few refurbs available from Kelly under the sell/trade section.  They are $395 with shipping, insurance, etc. included.

LOL I feel your pain!  Ever since my daughter got home from college she has been "borrowing" mine...and I keep having to grab her back.  In fact, I think she's about to buy a refurbished one.  She is completely addicted!

You are probably creating a new Kindle addict!   ;)

Sent a pm, but just wanted to make contact this way too, just in case.  :)

My daughter keeps stealing mine...so it would be wonderful if she could get her own!

I have a pierced ear, btw.

So, a pierced ear is that much different?  An earring is seen by everyone...the belly button ring, not so much.

I was looking for opinions...but the whole  "If you are so miserably unhappy with the shape God made you that you feel you have to mutilate your body by inserting pieces of metal/wood/rubber etc. into it or permanently dying it with ink... then you should just kill yourself " attitude was a little surprising.  Especially since you have pierced a part of your body and are apparently still among the living.

Thank you all...you are very encouraging!  Actually, my daughter thanks you because after reading your posts I feel so much better about it being relatively safe and ok.

Gosh...I feel like I just sat around with a group of friends talking it over...I love my Kindle friends!   ;D

Ok...so way off topic, I know...but since we're among friends here I thought I could ask.  I was wondering if anyone here has an experience with a belly button ring.  My daughter wants to get one and I was hoping for advice from someone who has one.

Thanks!

BTW, I'd like to point out that it's perfectly possible to be a Christian and acknowledge that all the points made here are true.  I'd like to introduce you to my sister-in-law Peg, the Presbyterian minister...wait, she's not on Kindleboards...oh, well, trust me, she knows and agrees with just about everything I've read here.

Me too...I'm a United Methodist minister...and I agree with the historical info Jim brought up.  Just about every modern commentary agrees.  I am very liberal, very open to people of all faiths or belief choices, and just want everyone to get along.   ;)  Mostly, we just need to care for one another and respect where each of us comes from and where we are at the moment.

After trying to share with my daughter for two weeks, I bought her her own. I believe Kindles are inherently unshareable.

I completely agree!  As soon as I can afford another one she'll be getting her own...probably for her next birthday.  I'll just have to check her bag when she leaves to go back to school!   ;)

Isn't it funny how attached we get to our Kindles?!  My daughter is home from college and started reading Dead Until Dark on my Kindle (Brigit) while I was at work.  She just left to go babysit and I let her take Brigit with her (since I am supposed to be working anyway).  I was like a nervous mother with a newborn...Be careful, watch that she doesn't fall out of the case (still using the one it came with until hopefully I get my Oberon one for Christmas), keep it out of the reach of the kids, etc!  Now that they are gone...my daughter and Brigit  ;)  I feel like something is missing!  First time I think I've been without my Kindle since I got it.  I think I have a serious addiction!

Sunny and warm in Jacksonville...

I'm afraid I've caught what everyone around me has had and have that sore throat/headache/achy all over stuff.  Unfortunately, pastors don't have time to be sick the week before Christmas!!  So, I've loaded up on drugs and am working on the youth Christmas play details and Christmas Eve stuff...

Hope all of you stay well...and warm!

Gosh I missed you guys!!  Made me realize how often I check in here...and I was hating it every time I got an error message.

Good to be "home"!   ;)

Cloudy and in the 60's in Jacksonville today.  Me and Brigit (my K) did three worship services this morning.  My oldest daughter, who's home from college, has started reading the first Southern Vampire Mystery on Brigit, and kept wanting to steal her during church!  Not a good idea since I was using my K for my sermon notes.   ;)

Hope everyone is staying warm and keeping their electricity!

Didn't quite make morning today...oops!  I had to be up and out early and didn't have a chance to make it to the computer.  Had a meeting and then went with my daughter to a synagogue for a service because she had to visit one as an assignment for her Old Testament class.  There was a girl having her Bat Mitzvot and it was really sweet.

Hope everyone is having a great day!

Oh...sunny and cool here in Jax...

Time to say goodnight!  Spent many hours at the mall getting ideas for Christmas presents...then came home and did some online shopping.  Check out the website www.Retailmenot.com  for some great coupons.  You just go to the site and put in the store you are shopping at and it comes up with all the possible coupon/discount codes out there for the store right now.  I ended up saving 20% online tonight on a pair of boots for my daughter that we saw in a store tonight for full price.    :D

Sleep well!

Beautiful and sunny in Jacksonville.  Walked out to get the mail in my bare feet!   :D  I love when it's like this.  It was very cold last night, and will be again tonight.

Trying to finish up my work so I can go Christmas shopping with my daughters.

Good night and sweet dreams to everyone!

Today was such a busy day...work, moving my daughter home from college for Christmas, my other daughter's chorus concert...whew!  But I did manage to sneak in some Kindle time while saving seats for the concert!   ;)  Ready for sleep now...

I have a great connection in Jacksonville, FL.  Worked fine in San Diego too...and in the Atlanta airport.   :)

It's a balmy 73 here in Jacksonville, which is higher than the high predicted for today.  We are in for tons of rain and thunderstorms while the cold front comes our way.  It definitely won't be anywhere close to 73 tomorrow!

My daughter finished her exams yesterday and comes home from college today for the holidays!  Of course, she's in love with my Kindle and will be trying to "borrow" Brigit all the time.   :-\

Hope your day is merry!
