Well, isn't this annoying.

I never considered anything I post here to be super-secret personal private or of monetary value, so meh.

However, one of the reasons I haven't been posting much is because so many folks are posting anonymously. Many many of us come here for advice or to exchange information, or for networking. A person's experience in this industry is what makes their advice or information credible and useful.  A post by Bobsyeruncle is just lacking in context.
It's the members here that makes this site valuable.

Is it a standalone title?  I don't see a lot of branding across your catalog, except for the fact that the author name is always on the bottom.

Is anyone else having trouble getting Google reports?
I've tried three times now, going over my query parameters to make sure I'm not drunk or something, but the reports are coming up zero.
The report ran fine the other day, so I know there are sales there.

I'd love to join but I use my Facebook page to keep in touch with friends and family, rather than using it as an author tool.
I do have a Facebook author page, but that's not what comes up to identify me when I join groups.

I sometimes think that there is a deplorable lack of words describing facial expression.  Faces are so wonderfully expressive that even the slightest twitch can communicate so much.
But it seems that I'm forever stuck with smile, frown, scowl, grin etc  unless I want to devote a paragraph describing someone looking confused and amused at the same time. While that certainly has its place, it can slow down action when a single word might just be a better choice.

Actually, being a writer is a perfect cover for when you have to explain your Google searches in court.
If you plan to knock of your rich MIL, just write a short story about lacing support hose with cyanide and you're all set.

This is VERY cool and would be helpful for authors trying to decide between two cover concepts.

However, going through some of these, I felt like I wanted a "Neither" option. In some instances, there are grievous problems with both covers that should be addressed before publication. Would the authors consider a vote as saying "this is good to go"?

Perhaps the authors could be encouraged to add additional information, such as "which text treatment do you like better?" or "that clip art will be replaced by the actual subject I'm writing about, please just vote on the concept".
