Betsy, I love the merlot.  I ordered the 3G so I have to wait until next week to see mine in person.

The Book Corner / Re: Not available on Kindle

This appears to be a library not a publisher issue because my library (Metropolitan Library in Oklahoma City) has the Kindle version.  I have seen a lot of new releases only available as ePub.  It has changed with the last 3 or 4 books I have borrowed -- only one of them wasn't available as Kindle.

Let's Talk Kindle! / Re: KBoards Kindle Oasis Giveaway!!!

My favorite things about kBoards is the helpfulness from everyone.  I am also learning something from everyone's questions and the answers.  Also the book recommendations in the historical romance and cozy mysteries thread is a great resource.

I was one of the 3G orders that got bumped from 4/27 to 5/4 >:(.  I received my confirmation email at 9:20 yesterday morning.  I received the email about the delay yesterday afternoon.  I checked my orders page and it now shows arriving 5/4.  Yesterday it had the arrival date as 4/27 and a 5/4 release date.  I think Betsy is probably right about the FCC approval.  Normally there are leaks when it is submitted to the FCC, and I heard nothing about it.  There were plenty of leaks but nothing in regards to the FCC submission.

I just got the delivery delay email - now estimated May 4.  We are leaving town  on May 6 and I really want to take it with me.

My birthday is May 2 so I am optimistic that I will have my gift early.

I am hoping for 4/27 delivery.

Well, I am not sure now when my 3G will be delivered.  My email has the delivery estimate as April 27.  On my orders page it says April 27 but there is a note that the release date is May 4.  When I look at the order page and click on 3G configuration it says at the bottom of the page that the release date is May 4.  Has anyone else noticed a different release date for the 3G?

I ordered the Oasis with merlot cover, 3G & wifi with special offers and have a 4/27 delivery date.  I ordered around 9:20 this morning.

I got everything correct also and I think my Voyage has a perfect screen.

I got my sport for Christmas, and I am love it.  I don't have a screen protector yet.  I looked at them on Amazon, but couldn't figure out which to buy.  I use TechArmor HD on my iPhone, but don't use one on my iPads.  I haven't purchased any extra bands yet.

Thanks.  I haven't heard of any issues, but thought I would check.

Do any of you have the sport watch?  I was wondering if anyone has had problems with the band coming loose? I had so many problems with the Fitbit flex band with a similar snap, that I am terrified that I will lose the watch.

I have used the credits for the Agatha Raisin, Hannah Swensen, and have started on the Amelia Peabody series in audiobooks.  Hopefully Scribd will stick around and  I will get to listen to them all.

Just to keep you up to date, I am paid up thru Mar 2019.

Let's Talk Kindle! / Re: Which Kindle devices can do text-to-speech?

On IOS Devices, go to settings, general, accessibility, turn on speech.  When you open the book in the Kindle app, swipe down from the top of the screen with two fingers.  It will open a dialog box and start TTS.  I don't think you can change the voice, but you can adjust the speed either faster or slower.  I have only used this on my iPhone, but I assume it works on the iPad also.

Thank you.

So....I just finished reading the Sweet Water trilogy by Lisa Clark O'Neill. I read the first one in a single day--couldn't put it down. Heroine has decided to open a book store with her best friend in the small town where they both grew up, and hero is a reclusive author who has just moved in next door. These books are romantic suspense--enough suspense to keep you on the edge of your seat but not enough to scare you witless--and heavy on the romance. All the characters (some really great secondary characters) are the kind it would be fun to know in real life--lots of witty conversations and humorous moments along with the suspense. Even some laugh out loud funny moments that reminded me of the kind of humor found in the Charley Davidson books (Atunah I think you would like this author). Anyway I got so sucked in that I had to immediately download the rest of the trilogy and find out how my other favorite characters found their HEA. Highly recommended.

I just finished the first book.  I loved it.  I am starting the second one now.

Anything Else Amazon / Re: Kindle Unlimited memberships on sale
« on: July 17, 2015, 01:58:33 pm »

You wouldn't have been eligible for this offer anyway. That page isn't there anymore, but there was a find out more on that offer page and it said right there if you had a discounted KU plan on your account at any point, or have currently, you are not eligible. I guess that applies to those that got that kindle with discounted plan before. That was the only time I think they had that on sale before.
Its partly why I went ahead and got the 2 year one as I assume if it ever comes up again, I too will be non-eligible anymore then, even if I just had gotten the 6 month plan.

eta: that page is still there, found it in my history

WOW, I guess I got lucky.  I didn't see that.  I had the 6 mo. plan from last Dec. that expired in June.  I was able to take advantage of the 2-yr. offer.  It wonder if it was because it had expired and I re-enrolled earlier this month.

I have added them to my wish list.  I noticed the second one is in KU.
