I never use enough light that's for sure & it was late when I was reading so maybe I needed to stop tho that book was near the end...thanks for the suggestions...Also it should be mentioned that I use the iphone so I'm use to the touch screen having trouble with moving around & ordered a book by mistake trying to just get a sample. A testiment to Amazon is that they never questioned it & gave me a return...thanks again...

I just got the kindle the other day , finished a book I had started on my Iphone & while I enjoyed the book (mystery) I still am having issues reading on a device  & yes I have the nice cover & still have some issues with the black on gray & I hope this gets better...sorry just talking out loud, I'm sure I am not the only one that has had this issue...

initial reaction wow! what a device but I am a techie with multiple computers at home & love electronic devices...I was really impressed with the sharpness of the text no matter what font I chose & since I'm 57 reading glasses are my friends  :), I am having some difficulty with the black on gray but i feel this will pass as I read more & I did feel like it was a comfortable thumbs up I'm delighted but I am still testing the reader as I have to be sure this will work for me. I will say that I don't see how any other competitor could come close to the quality & feel of the reader & the design while not perfect (either am I for that matter) is excellent & well thought out & I got into the reader area as I saw the Nook at B&N but was turned off by their poor pricing policy and a friend has the kindle & had excellent things to say about his experience. This forum is testament to a great product ...oh stupid question for the day. Since I'm male & do not read directions how does one delete a book from the reader, did try a few freebees & sample & would like to remove them, thanks again...

Hi all newbie here & I'll probably be back with questions once I get home & get the package opened ;-) but a friend has the 1st version & spoke so highly of it I decided to get this instead of the Nook, I have already bought a book & have it loaded to my Iphone which was instantly installed. Ok 1st question even tho it shows a contents lable it does not go there so I guess my 1st question is what happened to the moving to & from chapters. You see the book I ordered I have part way read...any help is appreciated...
