On Valentine's Day, I released my new romantic comedy, The Tech Guy.

Emma Barton is a workaholic. Nothing is more important than becoming managing editor of the magazine she works for. And she has the perfect plan to achieve that goal. Then Guy Walker enters her office. Sexy, sweet, and super popular, the new tech guy takes the office by storm. Will he derail every strategy Emma has in place? If he discovers her secret, it could ruin Emma's career and turn her life upside down.

Here's a few bits of the first reviews:

"This was a fun and witty read. I really liked Emma - she was sassy, capable, and had some great thoughts, and I was definitely not expecting the twist at the end! A fab chick lit book to keep you thoroughly entertained."

"In this story, Fairchild broaches some new ground... I think readers will be delighted when they discover the secret Emma hopes no one will ever reveal."

"Emma and her friends really come to life and you root for all of them throughout the book."

Welcome to KindleBoards, and congratulations on the book! :)

This is just a friendly reminder that KindleBoards is a Readers and Kindle Fan forum. Authors are always welcome to post anywhere but, as you browse the 'boards, please keep in mind that self-promotion, of any sort, is ONLY allowed here in the Book Bazaar.

A brief recap of our rules follows: (Note that this doesn't mean you've done anything wrong; we just want you to have a ready reference, so post this note in every thread. :) )

--Please bookmark this thread (using your browser's bookmark/favorite function) so you can update it as we ask that authors have only one thread per book and add to it when there is more information. You may start a separate thread for each book (or you may have one thread per series of books, or one thread for all of your books, it's your choice).

--We invite you to use your book cover as your avatar and have links to your book and website in your signature. Instructions are posted here

--While you may respond to member posts to your thread at any time, you may only bump your thread (back-to-back posts by you) once every seven days. Once you've responded to a member, that resets the clock to zero and you must wait seven days to post, unless another member posts before then.

--We ask that Amazon reviews not be repeated here as they are easy to find at your book link. Also, full reviews from other sites should not be posted here, but you may post a short blurb and a link to the full review instead.

--Although self-promotion is limited to the Book Bazaar, our most successful authors have found the best way to promote their books is to be as active throughout KindleBoards as time allows. This is your target audience--book lovers with Kindles! Please note that putting link information in the body of your posts outside the Book Bazaar constitutes self promotion; please leave your links for your profile signature that will automatically appear on each post. A new five star review from Coffee and a Good book.

"I really enjoyed this book. It was light and heart warming. I had just tackled some long, hard to read novels and this was just what I needed to relax and enjoy. I was hooked within the first couple pages and couldn't stop reading.
This is the first Lia Fairchild I have read and I've already bought 2 more of her books!"

My favorite review so far:

"I'm always surprised when a book is as good on the inside as it is on the outside. Cute cover, adorable man, fun title... but the writing carries the book. I loved the plot, but I really enjoyed her ability to write a fun contemporary romance that wasn't clunky. Witty, charming, and romantic! Five stars!"

This book just received a mini make-over and I wanted to share.

Look below to see the new cover for Emma vs. the Tech Guy.

Or check it out on Amazon along with some great new reviews, including one of my favorites entitled,

Lia, I LOVE YOU!
"I really enjoyed the characters! I found some qualities of Emma and Jayne in myself and her dedication to Howard, been there, done that. Seems to me she needed a nudge in the right direction and with her family (loved Pop and the boys) and friends, she couldn't go wrong. I think I'm going to seek out a guy from school years ago who was on the water polo team! Kidding, but I enjoyed it very much and I love your style of writing. It spoke to me as if I was there being the observer. I'll be reading 'In Search of Lucy' as soon as I hit submit! Thanks for the read!"

My favorite 5 star:

"I've never had a book sweep me off my feet and take me on such an emotional roller coaster quite the way this one has done, there were moments of pure laughter, gasps and jaw dropping… I started and finished it in one sitting never putting it down it was just too good and each time I thought about stopping I just couldn't do it…It's entertaining and enjoyable and has something for everyone even a guy could read and fall in love with this book too! It's a story about friendships, love, secrets, and learning to open up and trust people for the first time!"

So awesome to get a review on a chick lit book from a man:

"From a guy who liked it
I read A Hint of Murder and Vigil Annie by Lia Fairchild and thought they were both fantastic, so I shrugged my shoulders and said, "who cares if this one's not my preferred genre. It's by an author whose other work I like, so I'm going to try it." I'm glad I did. The characterization was so good I found myself caring about the characters, and that's pretty much all I need to enjoy a book. I liked the characters and the insight into their personalities. I loved the humor....I'll continue to read books by this terrific author."
