A big Le Brag: Hunchback Assignments wins French Award

I am extremely pleased that it was announced yesterday that The Hunchback Assignments won Le Grand prix de l'Imaginaire in France. I blogged about it here: http://arthurslade.blogspot.com/2011/06/hunchback-assignments-wins-grand-prix.html
But basically it's one of the highest awards for fantastical fiction given out in France. And my book was up against Neil Gaiman, Scott Westerfeld and...well several other heavyweights. So I feel extremely lucky. And all I want to do now is drink French wine for the rest of the day.

Wonderful news, Arthur!  Congratulations.  That's a terrific feather in your cap career-wise.

Thanks! I WAS disappointed of course that the plan to send me to France fell through (having never been there). But hey...I got more work done...
