Is one of your books cheaper on another site? If you're on GooglePlay, I'd start looking there.
I am. Google Play marked down my books automatically, I assumed that was treated the same way every % discounting was treated. Nook does the same thing.YodaRead said:Is one of your books cheaper on another site? If you're on GooglePlay, I'd start looking there.
You have to make your GooglePlay price high enough that when they automatically discount it that it's still higher than Amazon's price.GeneDoucette said:yah Google Play marked down the $2.99 books to $2.51, but my list price is $2.99. I can't doooo anything about that, can I?
crap. OK, thanks.YodaRead said:You have to make your GooglePlay price high enough that when they automatically discount it that it's still higher than Amazon's price.
Hi, I am new here. You've said Google Play wasn't good. Is there any source profitable you found?Guido Henkel said:Speaking of Google Play... did anyone ever get nay money from Google? I remember having my books listed with them some time ago and never getting paid. As a result I eventually took down all my books.
I got this email about a month ago and I wrote to them asking which book(s) they were referring in particular as I didn't believe that I had any price descrepancies but that as I'm in the UK, I can't necessarily see the US price for my books. I received an apology saying that this is a standard email that they send out intermittently to remind authors of Zon's pricing policy and it wasn't sent in reference to any specific book.GeneDoucette said:"Hello,
We want to take this opportunity to let you know about the KDP pricing policy.
Books published to KDP must adhere to the KDP pricing requirements, which state that the digital list price provided for your KDP book must be no higher than the list price on Amazon.com or any other sales channel for either the physical or digital edition of the book.
Be sure to take a few minutes to ensure that your books do not violate our pricing requirements. For more information, see section 4 on our Pricing Page below:

Thanks for publishing with KDP."
Anyone know why I would have gotten this email? Did anyone else get this email?
Google actually pay up better than any other retailer - a few days after the end of the month. I wasn't paid the first month I was with them and had to double check my payment details. There was some check box I hadn't checked or something like that and, of course, they don't tell you.Guido Henkel said:Speaking of Google Play... did anyone ever get nay money from Google? I've never had my books automatically discounted in the Nook store.GeneDoucette said:I am. Google Play marked down my books automatically, I assumed that was treated the same way every % discounting was treated. Nook does the same thing.
That is a very dated post and the suggested amounts no longer produce the predicted result.S.R. Booth said:
As long as I put my books at 25% higher than other stores, I bring in £600 (roughly $900) a month there. Not huge I know, but it's a steady growth not the ups and downs of Amazon.gregpippin said:Hi, I am new here. You've said Google Play wasn't good. Is there any source profitable you found?
They do. I've used it to price all my books and they came out at exactly the right amount.Mercia McMahon said:That is a very dated post and the suggested amounts no longer produce the predicted result.
