How many of you have or a planning too write an adventure/romance/success book using an alter ego character, based on your hidden daydreams? Those "If only" things we missed while being responsible bread winners or moms or dads.
I'm trying to outline a noir crime story but (I'm 76) I'm afraid some of my reference points may be dated. I'm working on it.

Gbard this is exactly what I did. It's called for us geezers, "historical fiction." But it's not all alter-ego, just as fiction should not be totally based on real persons--the imagination along with scraps of experience is to good fiction what oil is to a well running machine. Go for it.
