It's happened to me, too. For example, my $0.99 stories occasionally jump up to a $1.
I am in Canada--west coast--and at first I thought the price tweaks had something to do with the exchange rate and the opening of .ca, but that doesn't make sense, because the tiny adjustments don't reflect the US/Can exchange, and I haven't switched to Canadian Amazon. I always use .com. ...shrug... Oh well, this isn't the only thing in life that's a mystery to me.Bleekness said:The answer I got from KDP was it's because of my location. If you're out of the US, you'll be looking at a different price.
Which is still strange to me since a lot of my books are $3.99, and thus the prices should be adjusted the same--but they aren't. And I never elected to switch over to seeing all my prices in Canadian dollars... so...
Sometimes, trying to get a straight answer out of these guys is very frustrating.
Are you sure that is not currency you are seeing? i.e you are based in country A and viewing books in country B?EC Sheedy said:Has anyone had Amazon make minor adjustments to their prices? Things like changing:
4.99 to 5.01
.99 to 1.31
3.59 to 3.64?
The prices show as I set them on my bookshelf.
I've tried to go in and reset the prices, but all I get today is that famous error message and the instruction to try again later.
Curious to know if this has happened to anyone else...
