Amazon--changing prices by pennies??

Has anyone had Amazon make minor adjustments to their prices? Things like changing:

4.99 to 5.01
  .99 to 1.31
3.59 to 3.64?

The prices show as I set them on my bookshelf.  ???

I've tried to go in and reset the prices, but all I get today is that famous error message and the instruction to try again later.

Curious to know if this has happened to anyone else...

It's happened to me, too. For example, my $0.99 stories occasionally jump up to a $1.

The answer I got from KDP was it's because of my location. If you're out of the US, you'll be looking at a different price.

Which is still strange to me since a lot of my books are $3.99, and thus the prices should be adjusted the same--but they aren't. And I never elected to switch over to seeing all my prices in Canadian dollars... so... ???

Sometimes, trying to get a straight answer out of these guys is very frustrating.
I am in Canada--west coast--and at first I thought the price tweaks had something to do with the exchange rate and the opening of .ca, but that doesn't make sense, because the tiny adjustments don't reflect the US/Can exchange, and I haven't switched to Canadian Amazon. I always use .com. ...shrug... Oh well, this isn't the only thing in life that's a mystery to me. :)

Are you sure that is not currency you are seeing? i.e you are based in country A and viewing books in country B?
