Hello everyone, and welcome to my second post :) After my introduction post I felt it only fitting to track down that excellent idea called Book Bazaar and add my books to it.

My name is Mark E. Cooper, and I'm the author of six titles. Four are solidly in the epic fantasy genre, while the other two are different. One is military sci-fi, and the other is paranormal/urban fantasy. All six books are available now in kindle, published just last week. Links to the kindle versions of my books at Amazon.com can be found in my signature below this post. They are also available at Amazon.co.uk and Amazon.de but I won't clutter things with duplicate book links.

About The Devan Chronicles: epic fantasy genre

Book one of The Devan Chronicles is called The God Decrees... Lord Keverin is desperate to save his people and the kingdom he serves from the sorcerers of the Protectorate. Desperate times call for desperate measures. A spell is cast to bring a champion to Lord Keverin's aid, but something goes wrong and a Julia Morton suddenly finds herself stranded on an alien world with no friends and no way home. This book introduces us to the land of Deva while we follow Julia through a war torn kingdom, as she makes friends and enemies alike. Can she learn to harness magic to save herself and those she comes to love?

Book two of The Devan Chronicles is called The Power that Binds... a year on from Julia Morton's arrival at Fortress Athione, an uneasy truce is being maintained between Deva and her enemies, but the Protectorate never rests. Believing himself destined to rule, Lord Mortain unleashes General Navarien upon the north in an effort to bypass Julia's guardianship of Deva's western borders. Can Julia persuade the lords to act, or must she resort to force and magic?

Book three of the Devan Chronicles is called The Warrior Within... Julia Morton, sorceress of Athione, has been saved from her abductors at Kerrion's insistence by warriors of his Clan. Grateful to be alive, but not yet well from her ordeal, Julia swears to repay her debt by destroying Kerrion's enemies once and for all.

Book four of the Devan Chronicles is called Dragon Dawn... The war rages on and General Navarien is advancing into Deva despite all the clans and Julia can do. King Gylaren must march north to oppose the invasion, but it takes time to muster the army, and there is no time. With war in the north, and Japura now allied with dark Tindebrai, Gylaren sends his son and heir on a desperate mission to seek aid, but before he can march to join Julia, the unthinkable occurs and Fortress Malcor falls to the Hasian invaders. Can anything stop the juggernaut of war that is Navarien's legion?

About Shifter Legacies: paranormal/urban fantasy

Book one of The Shifter legacies is called Wolf's Revenge... Los Angeles, a city where monsters live cheek by jowl with humans. A city where violence simmers just below the surface. Lieutenant Christine Humber of the LAPD's robbery homicide division is well aware of that violence. She has worked for years in the city's most violent district, known locally as Monster Central. When called to a murder scene, Chris and her partner learn that the victim is a shifter -- a werewolf -- and he died hard. Chris soon realises that she has a very special serial killer loose in her city, one that is taking down Monster Central's bad boys one by one. Who or what can kill a werewolf and leave no trace? Chris and her partner race to find out.

About The Merkiaari Wars: military sci-fi

Book one of The Merkiaari Wars is called What price honour... Humanity's last encounter with aliens saw six point two billion people killed in a war with the Merkiaari that had spanned decades. Only by the grace of God and the use of nanotechnology were they defeated. The result of that nanotech? Vipers, a regiment of super soldiers tasked with protecting the Alliance and annihilating the Merki. It was a job they performed with distinction, a job they completed almost two centuries ago. A job that had cost them their humanity.

Thurston is an unimportant border world with a problem, a Marine type problem. Not the sort of place Gunnery Sergeant Gina Fuentez expected to find one of the fabled Viper cyborgs, but that's just what she discovers when a simple mission to extract an operative from a terrorist camp leads to a firefight and two of her squad dead. With friends dying around her and a world coming apart at the seams, Gina must decide if the Marine Corps is really her home, or just a stopping place to where she really belongs.

I hope you enjoy reading them as much as i enjoyed writing them :)

Welcome to KindleBoards, Mark, and congratulations on your books!

(If you've gotten this welcome before, it's just as a matter of housekeeping. We like to put a copy of the "welcome letter" in each book thread. It doesn't mean you've done anything wrong, it just helps us know that you know the rules.)

A brief recap of our rules follows:

--We invite you to use your book cover as your avatar and have links to your book and website in your signature. Instructions are posted here

--Please bookmark this thread (using your browser's bookmark/favorite function) so you can update it as we ask that authors have only one thread per book and add to it when there is more information. You may start a separate thread for each book (or you may have one thread per series of books, or one thread for all of your books, it's your choice).

--While you may respond to member posts to your thread at any time, you may only bump your thread (back-to-back posts by you) once every seven days. Once you've responded to a member, that resets the clock to zero and you must wait seven days to post, unless another member posts before then.

--We ask that Amazon reviews not be repeated here as they are easy to find at your book link. Also, full reviews from other sites should not be posted here, but you may post a short blurb and a link to the full review instead.

--Although self-promotion is limited to the Book Bazaar, our most successful authors have found the best way to promote their books is to be as active throughout KindleBoards as time allows. This is your target audience--book lovers with Kindles! Please note that putting link information in the body of your posts constitutes self promotion; please leave your links for your profile signature that will automatically appear on each post. For information on more ways to promote here on KindleBoards, be sure to check out this thread:
Authors: KindleBoards Tips & FAQ.

All this, and more, is included in our Forum Decorum. Be sure to check it from time to time for the current guidelines and rules.

Oh, and one more thing: be sure to check out the index threads at the top of the Book Bazaar. . . .there are details there about how you can be listed so that our readers can find you.

Thanks for being part of KindleBoards! Feel free to send us a PM if you have any questions.

Wow, this is taking me back to when I first found kboards. I wanted to update this thread with news about Hard Duty: Merkiaari Wars 1 (The book in the post above called What Price Honour is book 2 of this series) Anyway, the entire series is coming to audio soon, and Hard Duty is first. In anticipation of that event I am running a rafflecopter to give away 20 codes for lucky winners to get a free copy.

If anyone is interested, you can enter at http://www.markecooper.com

Good luck, and happy listening/reading

Mark

PS: The book comes out in audio at the end of February I think, depending upon techy stuff at Audible etc.
