So I'm back at it! This is the latest. Yes? No? I think it's better than the last, but I have absolutely no objectivity right now. Also, book is of a scifi/fantasy bent, not sure this is putting out that vibe at all. The font type and size isn't going to stay the same. Same as last post, give it to me straight!

Are you going for a sort of hand-drawn feel? I get that from this, sort of almost a comic/graphic novel feel. It doesn't say sci-fi to me, though. I thought that was a woman in a burqa from the Middle East.

That was exactly what I thought! I was thinking of doing just the eyes in the center, but it looks like a burqa! I didn't want to taint opinions, so I didn't write it, but that' exactly what I was afraid of! Oh well, anyone know somebody who wants a cover with a middle eastern feel?

Thanks Jersphoto! Unfortunately, ninja doesn't fit my book any better than harem girl.
Humblenations, thanks for the tip! I thought I was improving it by doing it like that knowing I'd never get them exactly symmetrical. I knew they looked almost paper dollish, but I had no idea doing that was contributing to the flat appearance. I'm going to try to get more emotion in the next face.
As to fun? I'm not sure that's an accurate description of what I'm feeling right now. It started out like that, but now it's something a bit more unhealthy.

One thing that I notice right away is that it just looks fuzzy on the black/grey areas.  It doesn't seem that it was done on purpose, even if it was, know what I mean?  For me it comes off as low-resolution.  A lot better than the last one though.
