Ok so it seems like forever. They think I'm about 2 years old at work now because every so often I jump up and say 'I want my kindle... I want I want I want."  LOL talk about no patients. Says it will ship Dec 5th -10th.

Funny thing is, I looked at them some time ago but just didn't click that I should get myself one. Now I wanted one and can't wait for it to arrive. I'm a very avid reader and read just about every genre. My sister and mother are going to be disappointed I purchased this as I give them all my books when I'm done. Guess I'll have to save up for each of them LOL.

I'm glad someone started this board and have a place to meet others and figure out how to use my kindle and learn about more great books.  Hmmm I need to meet a vampire and live forever so I can read all the books on my list and then some!!

Hi Theresa, welcome! There are a few others here who are going through the agony of waiting. I experienced it last April when I had to wait a month for my Kindle to arrive. I've been in heaven ever since.

Sailor; LOL I'm not sure what I would do if I really met a vampire!  I've checked out the kindle skins. I never new that stuff existed and now I'm wanting to dress up my kindle, my ipod, my phone, my computer...... I'm so tired of the same old plain looking tech stuff!!

I've read all but the last one that just came out I usually wait for paperback so they are cheaper but with the Kindle hopefully most will be cheaper. I'm looking forward to the latest installment.  I really like Sookie she's pretty fun and spunky.

welcome!  and hope your kindle ships quicker than the expected date.  that actually happened to me, i got the Kindle delivered the day after the original ship date.  I'll keep my fingers crossed that yours does too.

I love the Sookie Stackhouse series too, I've read them all and now I'm just (impatiently) waiting for the next one to come out in May 2009.    I hate having to wait so long!
