Recently I posted about a children's book author who has the same name as my pen name. Today I found a line of out and out porn books on Amazon under my real name! It is probably a pen name for whatever entity puts the books out. Freedom of expression and all that, but I hope it doesn't effect the books that I have under my real name.

Wow, the children's books wouldn't bother me much, but the porn might be a bit embarrassing!  That'd probably be enough to make me consider changing my public name!  LOL

I also found out there was a writer who published under the same name I use... E.H. Jones, who wrote The Road to En-Dor in 1919.  Not a big deal, sure... but it caused quite a bit of confusion on Goodreads and LibraryThing trying to get my book listed under me instead of him!

Wow. That's lousy. I'm having enough trouble trying to decide whether to publish under my real name or a pen name. To worry about not using either has to be rough. Do you have a middle name you can make use of?

Ugh, that's no fun. Any chance you could add your middle initial to your pen name or something? Might be a simple solution without requiring you to make too many changes. I'd probably just try and forget about it though. Lots of authors have the same names but as long as they write distinctly different genres readers should still be able to tell them apart.
