I keep buying consoles and not playing them, but I'm finally finding my niche with Steam downloads on my PC. It's so much easier to download games and play them on the computer, no worrying with discs and booklets and boxes. I've been a gamer pretty much my entire life... I had the Atari 400, 800XL (both with cassette player), TI-99, Commodore 64, Vic-20 and pretty much everything since) but I can be bad about just getting a game, playing it a few times, and never finishing it. I blame my upbringing on Atari games where it didn't matter how long you played, you got the same experience. I know for a fact I played those old repetitive games longer than I have a lot of newer titles.
I play Warcraft and played Rift a bit and actually work for Simutronics as a lead designer for one of their online games. It's not a huge deal because it's a small game and it's all text-based, but I have a lot of fun with it and since it's set in Greece it lets me enjoy researching the history and such. I am looking forward to a lot of stuff coming out that I saw at E3 (Skyrim, Star Wars Online, Assassin's Creed) but I find myself having a lot more fun with independent titles like Solar 2, Terraria, Magicka, Minecraft, etc.
