Hi. Just wanted to connect with other self-pubbed romance writers. I'm kinda new at this. I have 2 books in paranormal category. Anyone want to trade tips, ideas, likes/dislikes, or just chat about your experience? I'm feeling kinda lonely in this brave new world of self-publishing. Lol!

That could be very cool. Haven't been to the chat rooms yet? Are they usually busy?

Not really. There's a group of folks who gather on Sat and Wed (I think?) nights, but other than that it's catch-as-catch-can. But, there's no reason at all we can't try to set up a planned romance fans discussion event.

I'm a newbie here, too. Any tips on navigating the boards would be really appreciated.

I would suggest any newbie go to the Book Bizarre and set up threads on their books (that way you can keep them updated as news about them comes out), do a "hello" (as a poster, not an author, which is important) thread in the Introductions and Welcomes section:

If you want, you can then get added to the KB official author lists.

Then update the profile to include an avatar and a signature with your books.

And then, dive in and enjoy! Drop in on the chat on Saturday nights once or twice to see if you like it. Make friends. Check out the FB/Twitter/Goodreads sharing threads and start connecting. Be sure to wander about in the Book Corner and the Not Quite Kindle forums, and the Kindle Boards Forum Central area is quite useful, as well, esp this one:

Then, you're on your way.

Okay, so it is on Wednesdays - I thought so, but I had a brain fade out.

Maybe we should cabbage Thursdays for Romance Fans Chat.

and don't forget Saturdays....

but there are multiple "rooms" in chat, so you can branch off into a different one for a "romance" chat.

Yes, I said Saturdays earlier, but it was the Wednesday one I wasn't sure of.
