Any videos or articles to put my Santa over the edge?

My Santa has already checked out the Amazon site.  I'm searching for a non-Amazon, utterly fantastic review, article, and/or tutorial that will drive him right over the edge into the check-out basket at Amazon.  Help me, please?

Lots of good vids on youtube, which I checked out myself when I first thought of getting one.
Bring him to KindleBoards. LOTS of info here, not to mention satisfied and slightly biased customers! ;D
What if I put a "extra large" Google image of a Kindle on my computer desktop?  Too subtle?

Whatever works!! I drove my hubby crazy reading him articles and posts from here & Amazon till he finally gave in and let me order one! Then he had to tease me for a week saying I couldn't have it until Christmas... even made me wrap it up in Christmas paper and let me open it the next day! Bottom line... don't give up!
If the umpty-jillion positive reviews at Amazon (from the actual owners, ignore the non-owning gripers!) and the huge response at the forum don't convince him, I don't know what will!  Well... maybe if he could actually SEE one... know anyone who has one?

Yes, too subtle.

Have you been watching A Christmas Story? Remember Ralphie did get his official Range Ryder air rifle with a compass in the stock and this thing that tells time.
Here's what you do.  You send him a link to the item, in this case a Kindle.  And in the body of the e-mail you say:  "Please, please, please may I have this for Christmas.  I love you, I love you.  I'll be your best friend."  ;D

Well, it works for my husband.  I did just this with a lovely bag from J'tote and a box from said company came today addressed to him.  I have put it in the living room and will not speak of it again. . . . . . . ;)

Now I think I get to reward myself for giving such a good hint with an Oberon cover; but which one?  Decisions, decisions.

(I actually wish HE'D do something like that. . .I never have a clue. . . .)

Great ideas and wonderful video, but alas, I still don't think I'll have the Kindle under my tree.  There are no signs at all from my Santa.  He did send me the CNN article (Leslie!) today via e-mail, for whatever reason I don't know, because I have every reason to believe he's taken no action to purchase a Kindle at all.  After reading the CNN article, he may just think they're "sold out" and not have pursued it further; after all, he was always big on talking up the prospect of Kindle 2.0.

I need to get more aggressive, nicely, of course.  ;)

Counter the CNN article with the one from MSNBC which makes no mention of Kindle version 2. Of the two, I think the MSNBC one was more informative and better written. Also more timely.

Ah ha!  Thanks, dear Leslie!  ;D

He could also be very sneaky and have you completely bamboozled. Baby K might just be sitting in his desk at work.
Christmases past he has bamboozled me completely on two separate occasions.

Several years ago we spent a leisurely Christmas morning unwrapping all our packages. After Christmas afternoon dinner, my husband suggested we go for a drive to see his friend's horse (he knew I had a horse growing up and was in love with horses). We drove to the stable where his "friend kept his horse" and the stable was almost like a ghost town because of the holiday, so we spent some time walking around checking out the horses and picking our "favorites". At one point my husband called me over and said, "Hey honey, what do you think of this one?" I was surprised he picked one that looked like the horse I had owned when I was younger, and so I came right over and told him how beautiful she was. That's when he said, "Well, she's yours." I knew my husband (the joker) was just kidding, so at this point I was almost mad he would tease about something so special, and I gave him "the look." Then our eldest child (in on the secret?!) came up behind him and smiled, my husband gave me another look, and I just knew....she was my horse. I almost fell to the ground. He's even afraid of horses! I think that day I really knew how much he loved me, because of the sacrifice he made in more ways than one.

Another Christmas I begged for a second dog. I had to beg because my husband had made it clear we would never have more than one dog at a time. A few weeks before Christmas I even cried one day on the couch, saying I would get him a second dog if I knew it was that important to him. He seemed cold as ice, no way, no second dog. Christmas Eve we went for our traditional holiday lights ride around town, but this time he was taking us to a "very special lighting display" about 50 minutes away. Well, I have to admit I was tired and a tad moody over driving so far to see "special" holiday lights. Finally, we reached our destination and he seemed lost, so he turned into a driveway to seemingly turn around, but then he turned the car and lights off and stayed in the driveway. Next thing you know the ranch owners walked up to my window and handed me a beautiful puppy with a big Christmas bow. If I recall, screaming and crying was all the little puppy heard when I held him for our first hug.

So, can my husband surprise me? Yes. But these are difficult economic times, so who knows. Like I said, we both work at home, so it's hard to pull one on me. If I don't get a Kindle for Christmas, at least I'll know I'm loved.

I wonder where he will take you to pick up your Kindle?
Even I have to admit that last night I really stretched the "I want a Kindle for Christmas" story with my husband.

One of our daughters told me a woman at the bakery flirts with my husband. I know the women at the bakery and I'm not intimidated, but even so I thought I would tease him about it. I told him I was "on to him" with this woman at the bakery and that if he didn't get me a Kindle for Christmas I would go to the bakery and pummel her lights out.

First, he knows I wouldn't pummel a fly. Secondly, the woman at the bakery is a very old lady. I then admitted I was teasing (no surprises there!) and he said "I know you want a Kindle." I replied affirmatively and he said, "So, do you want to pay the mortgage or have the Kindle?" (his usual very dramatic and frugal response even when the country is not in economic crisis). I said, "I want the Kindle."

Okay, I was really, really stretching the conversation to get into Kindle land. Oh, and I did send the other article on Kindle from MSNBC. No reply.

Sign me,
Desperate
