I'm uploading a new book, and the book shows up, it allowed me to buy it, but the cover still hasn't shown up. It was fine in the window and everything, and I'm sure it's just lagging, but I've never seen a book show up for purchase without the cover.

Not me, but a bunch of people on another forum today were talking about this happening lately.  Some were even saying that they were seeing the WRONG covers.

I've had it happen when I make changes to a book. All the other changes take effect in a few hours but the cover didn't update until several hours later.

When I updated my covers, they took varying lengths of time to actually show the changes, but I've never seen a book upload and be available for purchase without a cover. I'm sure the Zon will get its wires uncrossed shortly.

Yeah, I've had the lag when changing covers. I've never seen this. I can't put it out on my Facebook page without the cover. I don't want to risk it. It's a little frustrating.

I had it happen to me over Christmas, with a new book I had out. So it does happen. It got fixed automatically, though, after a couple of hours without me emailing or anything.

Well, that's good to know. I guess I'll watch some Alias (that's the series I'm revisiting while writing this week) and hope it comes up before I go to bed.

On February 26th I hit 'publish' and it took 3 days for my cover to finally show up.  I was actually able to 'borrow' my own book to proof it in my kindle and it had NO cover.  Just before I started to panic the cover showed up around March 1.

So yeah, it happened at least to me and not for a short period of time.

Happened to me yesterday, was fine when I woke up today. Took about 24-30 hours, I'd say.

Cover? No. But it's not unusual for it to take up to a week to get everything set.

The same thing has been happening with look insides lately as well. I think they must be dealing with some technical glitches or something...

I sent an email yesterday to Amazon about these two issues.

In the response, Amazon mentioned it takes up to 72 hours for the book cover to appear.

As far as the 'Look Inside' feature, it takes up to a week for it to appear.

It's a thing right now. Zon has some sort of growing pains going on.

If you republish, it will generally fix it.

That happened to me 2 days ago...but I just went to bed, forgot about it, and when I woke up...BOOM. Cover successfully uploaded. Us writers are notoriously impatient...

Yes, occasionally. Mostly it's happened on B&N NOOK.
