While I do generally like Smashwords, I have to say that they're income reporting for other retailers never ceases to confuse the heck out of me.
Today, I checked my report, and it appears that all of my Apple sales have finally went through, to the tune of $1967.40, which has beaten out all other retailers. This showed up in my Accrued Sales (reported, not yet payable by retailer) column.
I was wondering if it would be more beneficial for me to go direct with Apple, having seen the massive potential it has. I read a few past threads that would suggest it might be a little less of a headache if I just let Smashwords keeps dealing with them, as opposed to going direct. Your thoughts?
Also, can someone please tell me that I'm not alone in being confused with Smashwords reporting. I feel like I'm going crazy seeing 2,235 books sold at the top left in my Barnes & Noble line but yet no money in the graph at the bottom for them and no sales reported where they show individual books sold by distributor. Kind of makes me want to pull my hair out.
