I seek commissioned drawings or paintings for two book covers. 1) A howling wolf, monochrome embossed style. 2) Three figures sitting around a clan fire, two seen only from the back, a Neandertal woman seen from front (face illuminated by flames from fire in front of her) leading the discussion.

I realize the embossed wolf can probably be done from stock photography, but the quality must be high. I'm not looking for $60 book covers, or quickly photoshopped images. I'm willing to pay going rates for quality work.

Writers, if you know of artists you believe can do this work, please give their names and a link so I can see their work. Thank you so much!

Thank you again for the link to https://jhillustration.wordpress.com/ Unfortunately, as I wrote in the original post, I need original artwork (drawing or painting). It looks like jhillustration is just royalty free images pasted together. I will contact them directly to see if they do original artwork, but I don't see any evidence of it on their website. But again, thank you for providing the link. I am grateful for every link, and want everyone to feel free.

To be clear, this is what I'm looking for:
1. Original artwork (no cut-and-paste, generic, royalty-free images)
2. Original drawing or painting.

Thanks so much!

Nice! Very talented. I'm going to see if I can contact her. Thank you for the link!
No worries. She is very reasonably priced, but not super fast. I love her work though. Let her know I sent you :)

Paul, I contacted her at DeviantArt, told her you recommended her. I like the diversity of her work. She's clearly interested in a lot of things, and does nice work.

Rebecca Weaver is doing my illustrated covers, and her work is great. Especially, my covers. ;D Ahem, anyway, here's her website:

I don't have a snazzy signature because I'm waiting to get a few more books ready (covers, editing) before I launch the series. Here you can see two of the covers she's done for me (not the lame "coming later" ones; those I made as placeholders):

Oh, she did a lovely portrait of Fenris from Dragon Age, there goes my writing for today, LOL! Dragon Age is calling again :)
Good luck with that. My husband clocked in over 200 hours on Dragon Age: Inquisition. I stay away from video games because they are dangerous to my productivity. Kind of like kids. Hmm, running off now to see whether my son has succeeded in his master plan to set the lawn on fire...

Mike Tabor is fantastic at creating original book cover artwork. He was highly recommended by Hugh Howey on his website. After seeing some of the book covers he created, I contacted him. He created my book covers for SILO SAGA: HOARDER IN THE DOWN DEEP and MUTATION Z: THE EBOLA ZOMBIES. He's working on the book cover for my next MUTATION Z book. He's very talented and wonderful to work with! He has new contact information. I'm not on my computer right now, but I'll post it here as soon as I get to my computer.

Steve Bryant at SRBProductions.net did the cover of Overload Flux, and is working on the second in my series even as we speak. He did some covers for Lindsay Buroker as well. He ain't cheap, but his work is really good and he's sane and reliable.

His illustration porfolio: http://www.srbproductions.net/#!-book-covers/c1x9w

Everything Jeanine has done for me is original art.
