That used to be the case, but the iPhone can now be unlocked.

True, but the other carriers can still not sell one (added extra cost and steps).

Until Apple allows others besides AT&T to offer the iPhone, there are many, many of us that simply will not even considering ourchasing one.

I would go blind if I tried to read off a Blackberry on a regular basis.

I do love the keyboard layout on the Blackberry, but other than that its not made for people like me

While I'm about as interested in reading an entire novel on my Blackberry as much as I'm interested in going for a swim in my bathtub, I must admit some interest for the occasioned chance to fill down time with a few paragraphs. I don't always have my Kindle with me but I do always have my Blackberry. And advancing through my current novel by a percent or two rather than being hostage to the communal TV or waiting-room magazine offerings would be nice.
