Hello all.  I just joined this fabulous board today, and have been all over it reading and learning.  My scifi/adventure/romance, HELPER12, is coming out on June 1, and I have never before pubbed an ebook.  I am wondering what your best advice is?  If you could pick only one thing you wish you had known, when you first started, what would it be?

I am so excited to be here, and to see all the wonderful books you have!

Thanks!

If it's just one piece of advice, I think I'm going to have to go with: "Relax. It gets easier."
Winston Churchill got there first, but "Never, never, never, give up!"

Good luck.

Spend money for a great cover if you can afford it.

Make your product description as good as it can be.

Write the next book. Write three short stories. Get stuff up. One product can recommend another.

Promotion is unpredictable but Kindle Nation Daily and Pixel of Ink seem to spur sales, though you may not recover your ad cost.

Remember that none of us here have any fast and hard answer to these questions.

Thanks, Kevis! I've been trying to find bloggers who will review ebooks--any suggestions?
Jack, you can always hunt down book review sites and bloggers through Google. But to get you started, here's the official KB Master List of Book Reviewers. Good luck! ;) http://www.kboards.com/index.php/topic,20049.0.html

I'd say the greatest piece of advice is to be patient. For more of us, especially debut authors, this is quite a long haul before you really see sales pick up. It's frustrating, but as long as you follow the tips that these wonderful folks above me have said, you'll hopefully get to that point eventually. :) Good luck!

When it comes to epublishing your book, there's a phrase that has been offered to people on here many, many times in the past and I think it's well worth repeating and remembering: It's a marathon not a sprint.

Edit, edit, edit.

Then get another two or three people to edit and/or proofread it.
