I'm looking for an NIV Bible for Kindle that gives book and chapter with each verse.

If you mean the book and chapter are listed along with each verse, I doubt you'll find such a bible; at least I've never seen one.

These are some of the NIV versions listed at Amazon. The One Year bible is kinda neat. It gives you a daily reading in the OT, NT, Psalms and Proverbs. At the end of the year, you've read through the entire bible.

Osnova publishes a number of bibles that have something they call 'direct verse jump'.  Basically they've developed a system of short hand for searching to get quickly to a specific verse.  As I recall it works pretty good, but I don't recall specifically what translations they've applied it to.  Probably only ones in the public domain.

I believe Osnova just uses the free Biblical versions because he didn't want to make the investment into licenses to reproduce versions like NIV, NKJV, etc.

Well, I know there was at least one translation that I asked about and they said the copyright holders would allow them to do a verse jump version.

• nine KJV
• one YLT
• two Douay-Rheims
• one ASV
• one NHEB
• one Spanish version (not sure on translation)
• one Polygot version (not sure on translation)
