the book is not searchable on Amazon by name or author, nor can I add it on my Author Central due to this non-searchability. I'm also not sure anyone can see the book unless directed specifically to the page. Has anybody else had this problem, and any suggested solutions?

BTW, I've already tried republishing it 2 times ie. it's been 'In Review', 'Publishing', and 'Live' multiple times already.

Use the ASIN# to put it under your Author Central account. That should help?

That doesn't work either. It's apparently completely unsearchable but exists as a page that can be linked to... I wonder if unpublishing and republishing it would work.

Patience, patience... It takes any new book a day or two (or three) to properly propagate in all the search records on Amazon.

To help speed things up, go and add the book in your Author Central page by ASIN (which is listed in your KDP report) and then go back to the book record and click like, add to your own wishlist, add tags, etc., in other words, liven up the record.

Then try searching again on Tuesday.

Oh, that's normal? It's not add-able in Author Central because it can't be searched for there either though. With all my other ones they were searchable before the cover was even visible, I guess maybe I was lucky then...

Have you tried searching with the book's ASIN?

Yeah, I think my last book took a day and a half before I could find it through a search. At least two days before I could add it to Author Central.

Never happened before, I guess I better submit my novel a few days ahead of the planning 'launch' and 'pretend' it just came up...

Never happened before, I guess I better submit my novel a few days ahead of the planning 'launch' and 'pretend' it just came up...

It can vary on what parts of a book record are fully functional, but in general the first day is too soon to worry.

With paper print titles it can take up to a couple of weeks for the entire record to be in place -- cover, searchability, categories, etc. Ebooks are faster, but still, need a few days.

I think I might forgo even announcing this title and instead announce it, the novel and the free run of my older book at the same time as a 'triple deal' lol.
