Will there be any support for book pictures and images? I see they have a screen saver that renders very well. Would like to know if they plan to inlcude the pictures and images that were published with the hard copy. It really makes a difference for me in reading to have the pictures and images. Has anyone come across images or pictures in their kindle books?

It's up to the publisher. Some books have images in them, some don't. Try a sample first before you buy if it's really important to you. Of course if it's a picture book or something with a lot of charts or graphs in it buy the DTB.

Oh, and welcome to KindleBoards!

I read two FLDS memoirs, Stolen Innocence and Escape, and they both included pictures.

I read Janis Ian's autobiography, Society's Child and that didn't include pictures, but I don't think the print version did either. Like Scott said, it really depends on the publisher.

There is support for simple graphics on the Kindle. I've gotten books with pictures/illustrations that were pretty nice. I also gotten ones that were pretty much unusable.

BTW, it's not clear if you mean Amazon or the publishers when you say "they".
