I read here or goodreads about the website bookmooch.com so I decided to put a few books I had laying around up to see how it works. In less than 12 hours I am down 6 books which is great! But I just realized there are so few paper books I want to read I might not ever get anything in return.

I have a bunch more I need to sit down and list. The site is very slow and I have already listed hardbacks as paperbacks by mistake. Hope the new owners dont mind?

Anyone else on bookmooch? Does it work for you?

There are a lot of book swap sites out there. There's even a system for it in place on Goodreads if you're in the US.

I havent heard of Bookmooch. Does it involve posting the books ? (I guess it must do!)

Yeah, you post your unwanted books and other people mooch them.  I am still really new so not sure what all it entails.  I have sent out 6 books.

I used to use Bookmooch a lot, but as you mentioned, the site is so slow these days. I now use paperbackswap.com much more often now. (You can swap hardcovers too, it's not just for paperbacks.) But my main problem with either site is that my to read list is so backed up in both print and digital format that I can't keep up with the offers from my wishlist. I need to learn to read faster!
