Hi all, I'm planning on reformatting my ebook and paperback book, but wondering if anyone knows people who can make the inside all pretty(format the chapters etc etc) :D
My budget is modest, but I'm willing to pay a fair rate for their time.

I'm looking for formatting in both Ebook format, and in Paperback format for Createspace.
Thank you very much in advance  :)

(I ordered a copy of my paperback, saw how terrible it looks :( and immediately took it off sale. Awkward)

Like Lilywhite--I do my own and offer a basic formatting service (I can add graphics, but those are a separate charge and if you are looking for inexpensive, I don't recommend adding them.)  For more detail you can email me or check my blog: www.BearMountainBooks.com.  On the sidebar three-quarters of the way down, there's a category "other" -- the editing and formatting service link is listed there along with the ad link.

Good luck with your project!

Colleen Sheehan does my interiors, as well. Nice little touches, great formatting and fast. Take a look at the "Look Inside" of any of my books and you can see her great work on the front matter and opening chapter.

Yi,

I've been formatting eBooks for many years and I have also been doing print layouts for years. I've been working with hundreds of clients, ranging from first-time authors to New York Time and USA Today best-selling writers like Lisa Jackson, Nancy Bush, Tracey Garvis-Graves and many, many others.

In addition I've written a blog tutorial series that has long become the de facto standard of the industry to format eBooks, and I've written a book on the subject as well.

I'd love to work with you to whip your book into proper digital shape for all formats, eBook and print. Feel free to ping me and send me a message, or take a look at my website for more information - http://guidohenkel.com/ebook-services/

What's more, I could get started practically instantly and have your book complete for publication in a few days.

Some of the most beautiful interiors I've ever seen. I do formatting for myself and a few other poor souls, but I tend to be pretty utilitarian; WDR just somehow makes everything really beautiful.

Kboarder Colleen Sheehan, of http://www.wdrbookdesign.com, does all of my formatting. She does an amazing job, and readers have commented on how beautiful the books are. You can see interiors of my books on her website. I can't recommend her highly enough.

Another rec for Colleen at www.wdrbookdesign.com. She was quick, did fantastic work, and most importantly, she was so, so easy to work with.
Wow, you're all AMAZING! I'm practically in tears over all of the support from you awesome people. <3

ThatYiGuy - I didn't realize this thread had so many awesome recommendations in it. I look forward to working with you when/if we work something out!

I used Glendon Haddix over at Streetlight Graphics for the cover design, e-book, and print formatting of Les Pensees. Can't recommend him enough--he does great work and is super professional. While LP wasn't super difficult, it did involve text in both French and English, and the English pages had to be matched perfectly with the French counterparts line by line in the print version (French on the left side, English translation on the right), which was a bit above and beyond the call of duty.

Awesome resources guys! Thanks for sharing!

But just a question...

Does this formatting work for just ebook versions? I don't have paperback versions yet, only digital. So will this pretty formatting actually show up when a potential customer looks inside?

Yes! There's a tab at the top ofthe look inside feature to view the ebook version OR the print. It will default to ebook but if the customer wants to look at the print the choice is there. :)

I use Streetlight Graphics. They're pretty good.
