Wikipedia is an encyclopedia that is hosted and supported by a non-profit Wikimedia Foundation. It is the most visited and highly optimized encyclopedia as it promotes only authentic information and anybody can take advantage of it. If you want to add any knowledge on it, you can do it too. For that, you need to know how to create a personal wiki . The articles on the wiki pages are written, read, and edited by normal humans and anybody can do that. But, Wikipedia has set some guidelines and restrictions to approve any content. So, before writing in Wikipedia, one must be extraordinary in all the aspects of writing. What do you think would it be easy?

Edited to replace broken link with something offering basic info about personal wikis. Drop me a PM if you have any questions. - Becca

You could write one, but unless you are quite notable, it would be removed for self promotion. If you want to be on Wikipedia, most topics have further reading sections; if your book falls into that section, then you could put it there. But it really isn’t going to generate sales or traffic.
