can't get rid of the price-match

I was very careful this time to make sure all of my other stores had been set back to list price before I changed Amazon this time. I even cut off the Sony store completely via Smashwords because I kept having trouble with them lowering my price. But Amazon *still* price-matched something (I don't even know what) back down to 99 cents.

Does anyone know how I can fix it?

I had the same problem. Even though I'd adjusted the price everywhere, Amazon pricing seemed to get stuck. After a week I finally sent off an email and they were quick to adjust the price.

I was thinking it might come to that in the end. What email address did you write to? I didn't see any obvious contact link in KDP (granted, I haven't had my coffee yet, so I could be blind. :D )
How odd, even the usual culprit of Kobo is showing your book (different cover than your sig line) at $4.99.
Brian is way more patient than I am. I don't wait a week to write to them...I email KDP Support immediately once I notice they're still price-matching but shouldn't be. I send them all the links at every other store showing the current price, they say they'll look into it, and then a few hours later the new price is there.
Most likely the Zonbots found a cached copy of your discounted/free book somewhere and was price-matching that. Usually a wait of another day or two followed by an email clears this up.
I used to wait patiently but not anymore. After two weeks of losing money this last time, I emailed them and they fixed it within 12 hours. I have no idea what they price match to sometimes. This last one was only 99 cents at BN and had been solidly back to full price for weeks. I republished and republished, but still, they would price match.

I've gotten more and more to where I email KDP the moment something is wrong. It's easy just to go to "help" and "contact" and choose your problem.

Thank you! I found the contact button. I didn't think to scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page. ;)

I waited 3 days this time. But it's been price matching something or another for about a month now, so that's long enough for me.
