I love my Kindle but choosing a book from my LIST leaves me feeling cold and unhappy. whatever happened to a nice bookshelf motif? Not the way the nook does it I mean really, who puts their books on a shelf like that? I want to see Kindle working on a new organising feature that allows you to browse through a bookshelf just like the one you have in your house. books stuffed on a shelf with only their spines showing is where I want the Kindle to be heading!

Maybe Amazon will do that if they released a color, iPad-sized tablet.

Personally, I've always liked the way they display the books on the Kindle for Android application. There's a color image of the book's cover, and you can scrolling continuously through your whole collection (without having to hit the "Next Page" button). But yeah, I'd expect Amazon to come up with something more attractive for their next version of the Kindle.

Maybe we'll see a "bookshelf" motif after all!

What about the back of the book? I would love to be able to read a little about the book. I want to know what I am going to read and if I feel in the mood for it. Why hasn't anyone thought of this? I just can't understand that!
They are so proud of the fact that you can download any book within seconds, but what about the back of a book? Or organizing it, cross folders. I don't know. It seems that there are too many geeks working on the kindle, and they are only concerned about the speed and not really about making it still book like!

I don't need anything fancy on my kindle.  All I want to do with my kindle is read.  I turn it on, it's on the last page I was reading, I read.  When I'm done with the book I'm reading, I scan down my list of TBR books, pick one and start reading.  If I'm looking for new books, I do it on amazon's website, and that gives you all the fancy stuff you might want.

I wouldn't mind if when I clicked on a book in the list, if the blurb popped up, with the default next click to continue reading...sometimes I'm browsing my books on my Kindle, needing a new book, and my computer (or iPad)  isn't handy or I don't have a connection.  But other than that, to me the list of books by name, in text, is pretty much the same as seeing the spines, only I don't have to tilt my head to read them.  :D
