can the kindle fire be 'over charged'?
ie, if i forget it's charging, will it over heat or damage the unit?

Nope. I generally charge mine over night, which is well longer than needed. But that's the only time I'm not likely to otherwise want it! :D

:D. I been charging mine pretty much every night since I got it. ::). I'd like to say there is something wrong with the battery, but its more like there is something wrong with me and the darn games I got hooked on. :D

All my kindles are always plugged in longer that it takes to charge them.

I read somewhere that the regular charger won't hurt but that leaving it on the fast chargers could. Don't remember where I read, nor do I know if it's true.
