I really like Chris Bohjalian's work -- I've read Midwives, The Buffalo Soldier, Law of Similars, Trans-Sister Radio, The Double Bind, and now Secrets of Eden. Oh, and I've read his nonfiction collection Idyll Banter (and sometimes I catch his weekly articles that he does for his hometown paper in Vermont).

Anyone here read Secrets of Eden? I enjoyed it...but it wasn't my favorite of his, although it did keep me turning the pages even though I sort of expected the twist at the end (he and Jodi Picoult are into those twists...so much so that they're kind of expected, which defeats the purpose, methinks).

Thoughts? Any suggestions on which Bohjalian book I should check out next?

I really like Skeletons at the Feast. It's got some difficult parts that are hard to read, but great characters and a gripping plot.

And here I thought someone wrote the sequel to my book.

I've heard good things about Skeletons at the Feast...methinks that will be my next Bohjalian pick.
